It is a fact that most of the actresses who sizzle on Tollywood screen are imported from Bollywood. Now, yet another hottie is set to debut in Tollywood, that too romancing superstar Mahesh Babu.

‘Aashiqui 2’ fame Shraddha Kapoor is heard to have been finalized to play the leading lady of Mahesh in his new film to be helmed by acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss. Makers have roped in her by paying hefty remuneration it is said. Currently, Murugadoss is giving final touches to the script while Mahesh is busy with Brahmotsavam shooting. This project will go on floors in April 2016.

Earlier, Shraddha has been approached to act alongside NTR Jr in Koratala Siva’s film, but she quoted Rs 3.5 Crore remuneration.

Another buzz is that Shruti Hassan will play the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu once again in this flick.

If the ongoing buzz in Film Nagar is to be believed, the makers of Mahesh Babu’s film with AR Murugadoss are considering the title of one of megastar Chiranjeevi’s blockbusters.

As this movie will be based on judiciary system, makers are considering ‘Chattamtho Poratam’ title. The Chirnajeevi starrer was released in 1985 and is considered one of the biggest hits in his career. This title looks apt for Mahesh’s film considering the subject of Judiciary system. On the flip side, it looks a bit old.

The movie is expected to be launched on April 12, next year. Pre-production work is going on at jet speed. While Mahesh is busy with the shooting of Srikanth Addala’s entertainer Brahmotsavam, Murugadoss is busy with Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Akira’.

Superstar Mahesh Babu had last played dual role in his flop movie ‘Nani’. If reports are anything to go by, Mahesh will be seen in the dual role in his next project to be directed by sensational AR Murugadoss. An official confirmation is yet to be made though regarding Mahesh’s characters.

Murugadoss is said to have prepared an interesting storyline regarding Indian judiciary system for this project with Mahesh. The ace director is well known for his engaging action thrillers. Murugadoss and Mahesh’s film will be extravagantly made with huge budget in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is going to lend his voice for Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu for his forthcoming movie directed by Murrugadoss. Recently Ram Charan lend his voice for Salman Khan for the Telugu version of his Hindi movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for ‘Brahmotsavam’. He will next team up with AR Murugadoss for a film based on Indian judiciary system.

This film is said to be made of Rs 100 Crore budget in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. As Mahesh is fluent in Tamil, he will dub for himself in Telugu and Tamil. Coming to Hindi version, Mahesh is said to have requested Murugadoss to rope in a star to dub.

In this film, Mahesh’s daughter Sitara will be seen in a cameo.

While Murugadoss chose to rope in Harris Jayaraj, producers are in a thought of hiring Anirudh.

The reason behind Murugadoss opting for Harris is that Harris has given some super hits to Murugadoss’s many films. Harris Jayaraj is also a recognizable music director in Telugu too. Films like “Gharshana,” “Vasu” and “Orange” were composed by this him.

While that was Murugadoos version, the producers have a completely different story for choosing Anirudh. According to the producers, Anirudh is the trending music director in the south at present. His films like 3, V.I.P and now Vedalam are all receiving positive vibe for its music. Additional to this Harris charges Rs 4Cr per film, whereas Anirudh will do the music much less than Harris.

What to be noted is that Harris Jayaraj in the past worked for Mahesh’s “Sainikudu” while Anirudh worked with Murugadoss for Vijay’s super hit film “Kaththi.”

Shall be seen whether whom Mahesh opts to do music for him.

The stories about a supposed movie that could star Ajith and Vijay together have been popping up every now and then for years now. Recently, J Anbazhagan too claimed he could make it happen and that too in a hypothetical Mankatha 2 – though to be fair, it did seem more like he was taunting the fans via his tweets than actually setting out to make it a reality.

But now, we have it from an even more reliable source and that is hit maker AR Murugadoss!

Yes, ARM has said that if Ajith and Vijay were to give him dates out of their busy schedules, he could have a story ready for them in a couple of months at the most! Meaning he currently doesn’t have one that could work well for both of them sharing equal screen space and time, but he is confident that he could create one soon. Now we guess it’s up to the stars to make a choice..

Of course, ARM has worked with both of them and both times their collaborations have been huge successes. He worked with Ajith in Dheena and that turned out to be a milestone flick in the career of the actor. Not to mention it was the director’s maiden venture!

He had worked with Vijay in Thuppakki and that was a mega hit, and now he’s working with him again in Kaththi.

ARM has said that he works with big stars these days because most of the stories he has are heavily hero oriented ones and that the stars who have experienced successes with him often want to team up again.

The film maker also spoke of a non hypothetical, actual dream project in the works and that one of course is with Ajith. He confirmed to the media that he had read a story to Ajith a few months ago and he is waiting for his green light to move forward with it at some future date.

His next project will however be with Sonakshi Sinha, and it will be a Hindi one with a female centric storyline but.. wait for it.. it will be an action movie! That one will indeed be a treat for the Indian fans who are not used to that particular type of cinema..

AR Murugadoss’s Holiday starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha is doing amazingly well at the box office with collections almost making it to Rs 100 crores over the weekend! The film has thus joined Jai Ho and 2 States as one of the biggest Bollywood movies of the year.

And Akshay Kumar is definitely happy with the outcome of the remake of the original Tamil version Thuppakki which starred Vijay – so much so that now he has shown interest in ARM’s next venture starring Vijay, Kaththi!

Yes, it seems the actor wants to buy the remake rights to that one as well and for good reason. After all it’s the manthra of show business as a whole – unique is good, but if something works you better milk it the best you can! And the ARM magic is definitely working big time now..

Akshay, amidst all of this, has also revealed another interest – guess what.. he wants to act in a Tamil movie very soon!

Now, how about that? Not only are the Kollywood flicks being remade up north, but now the biggies in the north want to make a mark here as well! The winds sure seem to be changing directions, folks.

We do not know at this point if ARM is the one Akshay had in mind as the director when he expressed this interest. It makes sense considering the success the director is having in Hindi though Holiday is his maiden venture there.

They quite clearly have a good working relationship now but only time will tell if the Khiladi will be playing for the Tamil audiences anytime soon.

AR Murugadoss is certainly having the best time possible as far as his career goes and the thing is, with him, almost all of it can be attributed to just plain talent and hard work – lady luck doesn’t seem to have much of a role in his movies!

The energetic and enterprising young film maker has made his mark in the landscape of Indian cinema in, relatively, a very short span of time and now he has done it internationally as well – in Pakistan of all places!

Bollywood movies, are of course, a big commodity in Pakistan and ARM’s latest action thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, Holiday, has made quite the impact on the box office over there with collections from the opening weekend being rounded up to almost Rs 1.76 crores!

Now that’s a statement of mass popularity. ARM has gained a reputation for being a director who has his fingers on the pulse of the popular culture and their preferences, which has been called his ‘pan India appeal’. Guess we can officially rephrase that now…

The busy director/producer is currently busy with his next Tamil venture Kaththi starring Vijay, and he is aiming for a Diwali release according to sources. In any case, he just announced that the first look of the movie along with its theme music comes out on the 22nd of this month.

He has also announced two other exciting projects in the pipeline – a unique action film in Hindi which will star Sonakshi Sinha in the lead and a very exciting Tamil flick which will have none other than Thala Ajith in the lead!

Murugadoss also wants to produce smaller movies starring lesser known or upcoming stars, maybe even newcomers, and he claims he is still ‘learning’ as he is, according to him at least, an inexperienced producer.

At this rate, there will be no end to this talented artist’s achievements in the arena of Indian cinema. Good luck ARM, and keep them coming!

A R Murugadoss is definitely the current hit maker in the Indian cinema landscape and even the production houses nod their heads in agreement to this fact, as he is the only one that seems to be creating consistent successes in three film industries – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

His latest movie in Bollywood titled Holiday starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha has received a fairly warm reception, and his next offering in Tamil starring Thalapathy Vijay – Kaththi – too is a highly anticipated one.
And now, ARM has announced another project – an action film – with Sonakshi Sinha in the lead!

Yes, that’s right! Sonakshi in AR Murugadoss’ next action thriller, if rumors are anything to go by. The director/producer claims that this story is something very close to his heart and he also says that it will hold a very powerful message for all Indian women.

Sonakshi too has confirmed the project officially, and has said that she will be devoting four months out of her schedule for this project exclusively, meaning she will not be working on anything else for that entire period.
Interestingly though, the four months are not all for the shooting – while three months will be set aside for filming, one month will have the gorgeous starlet in a workshop of some kind, training for her part. And the intrigue builds..

However, this does throw some shadows on the rumour that Sonakshi was to sign on for the Ashutosh Gowarikar – Hrithik Roshan period film, Mohen Jo Daro. Maybe that’s still in the cards but in any case, according to plans the ARM – Sonakshi movie is to launch by the year end, thereby making it one of the more unique mainstream releases next year.

ARM will be producing this one in association with Fox Star Studios.
Anyways, it’s about time we have a Murgadoss style, masala action entertainer for the masses, that holds within it a ‘pan India appeal’, and has a woman playing the tough one and not just the damsel in distress. Way to set new trends, Mr Murugadoss.
