The recently released film Oh Baby starring Samantha Akkineni in the lead role has been received well by the audience and is having a good run at the box office. It is directed by Nandini Reddy. This is the first hit of Samantha with a female-oriented film. But apparently, one of the film’s producers, Suresh Babu is not really satisfied with it.

One thing that majorly made him upset was the music. Mickey J Meyer, who composed the music and background score of the film, did a below par job. Mickey is one of the talented composers in town but we don’t really know how he failed to create an impact with this film’s music.

Especially, Suresh Babu was disappointed with the climax song, which comes at a high point of the film. He felt that a chartbuster melody would’ve created more impact on the audience. Whatever Suresh Babu though was right, but he should be happy with the success and should take more care on such aspects from now on.

Prasanna Kumar is an established writer in the film industry. He has worked with the director Trinadha Rao Nakkina for the multiple projects in the past. The latest buzz in the film industry reveals that Prasanna Kumar has narrated an interesting story to Venkatesh which is said to be a multistarrer. The film is said to be made with Venkatesh and Suriya, if things work well.

Trinadha Rao Nakkina will direct the movie and Venkatesh has liked the script in the first hearing itself.

Venkatesh has conveyed the same and asked Prasanna to narrate the story to Suresh Babu. If Suresh Babu liked the story, the movie might take off to the sets soon. Suresh Productions might bankroll the project.

Rana Daggubati the handsome hunk is busy working on his upcoming movies now. There are a number of rumors that Rana is struggling with bad health. The latest rumor making rounds is that Rana is facing kidney related troubles.

Rana Daggubati’s father- Producer Suresh Babu had issued a statement that Rana is in the USA and getting Ophthalmic surgery. Seems like Suresh Babu and family decided to put an end to the unlimited rumors that are growing around Rana’s health. But, the close sources report that Suresh is deeply worried about Rana’s health, as he was advised to seek the help of surgeons from Singapore. Hope Rana gets well soon.

Pelli Choopulu director Tharun Bhascker is gearing up for his second movie now. The film is apparently titled as Ee Negaraniki Em Ayindhi. The makers are planning to come up with a motion poster today. Meanwhile, the director penned a letter to the audiences revealing some details about the film.

“It’s been a while since Pellichoopulu released, quite a wait ! The accolades, appreciation and the success was unexpected and overwhelming. It took a while to get a grip of it and to try and work towards repeating the magic. This next one is about four friends. Since the film revolves around friends, alcohol & filmmaking, we felt the title Ee Nagaraniki Em Ayindhi was apt.” revealed Tharun Bhascker about the film’s title.

It is heard that the film will have an interesting and engaging climax. During the climax in the movie, the court decides to hang Rana. How the actor who is playing the character of Jogendra, escapes from hanging and how he proves himself innocent in front of the court is the major aspect of this drama. It is also heard that the character of Catherine will have negative shades.

The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Police on Wednesday issued notices to 4 people belonging to the Telugu film industry to present themselves before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the shocking drugs haul case. Those issued notice include three young heroes, four producers, two directors and one fight master.

They were instructed to present themselves before the SIT within six days for an interrogation. They have been warned of serious consequences if they fail to make themselves available for investigation.

Apart from members of the film industry, others involved in the drugs abuse include multinational professionals and school children. It may be recalled that a ninth standard girl using drugs had shocked both people and police in Hyderabad.

While many bigwigs in the Telugu film industry have acknowledged the involvement of film celebrities and its personnel in abuse of drugs, they have taken objection to the entire film industry being maligned in the media because of a few.

Movie Artists’ Association (MAA) President Sivaji Raja, producers Suresh Babu and Allu Aravind, and hero Srikanth had spoken on the issue at a recent event held by MAA in the city.

Pratani Ramakrishna Goud aka Rk Goud, the Telugu Producers Council’s outgoing chairman, has made serious allegations on Tollywood ace producers-distributors Suresh Babu and Allu Aravind. He accused the two producers for his removal from the post though he has another year of service term.

Going deep into the details, Rk Goud in the press meet held in Film Chamber Today said “I’ve been fighting against Qubes, UFO, PXD for the past seven months as they were a huge burden for small producers. As Suresh Babu is a business partner in UFO whereas Allu Aravind invested in Qubes. Since they have their own business interests, they both provoked Vijayender Reddy to get me expelled”. Mr.Rk Goud also told that he has already sent notices to the concerned parties through court declaring the recent election of Producers Council as illegal. Senior Tollywood producer Daggubati Suresh Babu has finally received a breath of sigh after the order of the High Court in his favor.

It may be noted Suresh Babu was earlier prevented from discharging his duties as the new President of the Film Chamber after a city civil court issued a directive in this regard. The act of the civil court was in response to a case filed by Murali Mohan alleging that Suresh Babu has lots of dues to the Chamber.

Both Suresh Babu and the Film Chamber separately appealed in the High Court challenging the verdict of the civil court. After hearing the proceedings, the High Court Bench was convinced with Suresh Babu’s plea and gave verdict that he owes nothing to the Chamber.

The High Court also ruled that a legally elected person cannot be prevented from discharging duties. Suresh Babu has welcomed this decision.

Tollywood producer Suresh Babu has turned a grandfather as his daughter and macho actor Rana Daggubati’s sister Malavika has given birth to a baby girl earlier today at a private hospital. Tollywood hero Rana becomes Uncle.

As per sources, both mother and baby girl are healthy and doing fine. The Daggubati family is excited to welcome the baby girl.

Rana’s sister Malavika married businessman Bharat Krishna Rao on 5th December 2012 in a glittering ceremony held in Hyderabad. The ceremony was graced by the stalwarts of southern and Bollywood film industries.

On the eve, we congratulate Malavika, Bharath and the whole of Daggubati family for having a new member of the family.
