Star heroine Kajal hasn’t been bagging many offers these days. Continous flops might be considered as the major reason for that. Her last film Sita is a disaster and she has now pinned all the hopes on her next film Ranarangam, which is slated for the release on the 15th of August.

Apart from that, Kajal is acting in Shankar-Kamal Haasan’s big-budget film Indian 2. We also heard that she is playing as a female lead in Manchu Vishnu’s English film. According to the latest buzz, Kajal has signed an experimental film with director Prasanth Varma of Awe fame.

Both Kajal and Prasanth worked earlier for Awe and the former got rave reviews for her performance in that film. It was heard that Kajal wanted to produce this new film initially but she now baked out as a producer and will only act in the movie. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.

Super Star Rajinikanth and director Shankar collaborated for a mega magnum opus titled 2.0. The film released in Telugu and Tamil languages already and went on to do average business at the box-office. The movie unit planned to release the film in China and many top production/distribution houses in the country competed to grab the rights for the movie.

Unfortunately, the Chinese company HY Media that brought the rights of the movie for a whopping amount called off the release of the movie in the last minute. The film was supposed to hit more than 50K screens on July 12th. But, the distributor backed out now since he is not sure of the movie which needs to collect 175 crores which are the only way to gain the profits on the movie.

The negotiations are going on but there is no clarity if the film will release on a later date.

The shoot of Kamal Haasan’s Bharateeyudu 2 has been halted a couple of months back due to multiple issues. Firstly, director Shankar has faced trouble in getting the budget allocated and secondly Kamal was busy in his political commitments. Finally, Shankar agreed to the conditions put by producers regarding the budget.

Everyone thought that film will go on floors after that but it didn’t. We now hear that Kamal will resume the shoot of the film once he gets done with his ongoing TV stint Bigg Boss. Many people are wondering why Kamal wants to waste 100 days by not participating in the shoot.

Apparently, Kamal will sport a different look in the film and if he starts shooting now, he has to reveal it when he hosts Bigg Boss. As he wants to be it a secret, the actor decided to restart the shoot in October. Kajal is playing the female lead in it.

Director Shankar has started the much-anticipated sequel of Bharateeyudu earlier this year. But the shoot of the film is currently halted due to budget issues. And also, lead actor of the film, Kamal Haasan was busy in political works till last month. We have to see when will it go back on the floors.

Meanwhile, we hear that Shankar is now working on a new project. Apparently, he is planning to direct a multi starer with Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram and Vijay’s son Jason Vijay. Shankar has worked with both these star heroes in the past and now, he is planning to work with their sons.

There is no official news about this project though. Currently, Dhruv Vikram is gearing up to make his debut with Adithya Varmaa, which is an official remake of Arjun Reddy. On the flip side, Jason Vijay is pursuing his higher studies in the US.

These days, our films are doing better in China as well. From Dangal and Secret Superstar to Hicki, Mom, and Andhadhun, the people of China are receiving most of the Indian films with immense love. Thus, many of these films earned more in China than in India.

Now, Superstar Rajinikanth’s sci-fi thriller, 2.0 is all set to release in the neighboring country. It will hit the screens there on July 12. 2.0 is the most expensive film made in India but it couldn’t perform big her. It ended up as a loss venture in many of the areas across the country.

We have to see how well it can do in China. Normally, China people are up for action thriller with heavy VFX but they are way ahead of us in making such films. So, we have to see how will they receive 2.0. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in other lead roles.

After 2.0, maverick director Shankar is currently busy with the works of his upcoming film Indian 2 which stars Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The shoot was started in a grand style last month. But the latest we hear is that all works of the film are halted currently.

According to the sources, Lyca productions, which is producing the films, has asked Shankar to give the exact budget estimate and stick to it. But Shankar has apparently said that he can’t estimate budget as such as the film can demand more future resulting in more budget.

But Lyca is not ready to proceed in such way as they got into deep losses following such a way for their last film, 2.0. The film, commercially, was a disaster in Tamil and got a loss around Rs. 25 crores in Telugu. Thus, the future of Indian 2 is under the stakes now.

Ilayaraja is one of the legendary and talented music composers in the industry. From small directors to star directors, everyone wants to work with him.

But, ace director Shankar hasn’t worked with Ilayaraja. The director himself revealed that he didn’t work with him though he got a chance to do so. “During the starting of my career as a director, I have ways wanted to work with Ilayaraja. In fact, I even thought of working with him for ‘Gentleman’ movie. I also got an opportunity to talk to him. But, my huge respect for him made be unable to utter a single word to him. He is like a music dictionary. I feel like my experience is not enough to work with him. Also, I am scared of him and I can’t say that I want this and that. So, I haven’t worked with him yet” Said Shankar.

“Though I am unable to work with Ilayaraja sir, I am happy that I acted with him. We shot for a commercial together” added the ‘2.O’director.

Ace director Shankar has recently come up with the sequel of ‘Robo’ titled as ‘2.O’. Touted to be a sci-fi thriller, Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar played vital roles in the film.

Despite getting released amid high expectations, the movie failed to reach the expectations. Lyca Production banner bankrolled this project with a massive budget. Because of the exorbitant prices, though the film succeeded in making 800 crores of gross, the collections were not satisfactory. So, for this movie, he has reduced the remunerations. Shankar has decided to cut down the remuneration for their next to reduce the burden on the production banner. Both Rajini and Shankar collaborated took this decision.

Shankar is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Indian 2’ which is a sequel to ‘Bharateeyudu’ movie. Kamal Haasan is reprising his Senapathy role in the movie.

The film’s director Shankar initially considered Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar for the role but then the latest rumor is that Abhishek is finalized for the character.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is all excited to begin his next film with director Shankar. The film is said to be the sequel of Bharateeyudu that released in 1994. The first schedule of the movie is going to kick-start soon and here is an interesting development on the project.

The latest buzz is that Siddharth is expected to be seen as Kamal Haasan’s grandson in Shankar’s Bharateeyudu 2 which is being made as Indian 2 in Tamil. It must be noted that initially STR was reported to be playing this role but Simbhu is said to be not a part of the project anymore. An official confirmation on the same is awaited in this regard.

The regular shoot of the film is going to begin this month and the makers are all kicked about the film’s shoot.

Apparently, the film in the combination is going to be a political thriller and is said to be used for his political mileage. The regular shoot of the film is yet to begin.

On the other side, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who is said to be Rajini’s competitor is also busy with the works of his next film. Even Kamal is into politics now and he also took a decision to quit the movies.

Kamal will now team up with Shankar for the sequel of Bharateeyudu and it is going to have the necessary elements that will help for Kamal’s political mileage.

It will be between directors Shankar and Murugadoss to get the best mileage for the actors when they go into the public as politicians.

Director Shankar who was busy with the works of 2.O is finally free now. He is now going to concentrate more on his next film Bharateeyudu 2 which is the sequel of the movie Bharateeyudu that he made 2 decades ago with Kamal Haasan. The pre-production work of the film already started and the makers are excited to begin this.

Meanwhile, the film unit recently conducted a look and makeup test for Kamal Haasan that has come up well. Lyca Productions that made 2.O is producing the film and the official update is that the regular shoot is going to kick-start from 14th December in Hyderabad.

The first schedule of the movie is going to kick-start in Hyderabad. Soon after the schedule, Kamal Haasan will kick-start the 3rd season of Bigg Boss and will simultaneously join the shoot of the sequel.

Popular director Shankar has been working hard on the promotions of his new movie Robo 2 Point O. Soon after this, he would collaborate with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for an exciting project titled Indian 2 which is the sequel of the film Indian that released in Telugu with the title Bharateeyudu. The latest buzz is that the makers wanted to begin the shooting for the film soon after the release of 2 Point O. As part of the preparation, the makers started erecting a special set for the shoot of the film. The pooja ceremony of the same happened in Chennai recently. The film unit already began the pre-production work and the details of the complete cast and crew will be out soon.
