Super Star Rajinikanth, Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Stylish Star Allu Arjun, and Ilayathalapathy Vijay are the popular heroes down South who enjoy the craze even in North India. A lot of people from the North like their work. At times, their movies have a grand release in North India too. Their movies do well in terms of collections too. Now, Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty opened up on these heroes and the films they do.

“Every actor enjoys a fan club. Rajini, Chiranjeevi, Bunny and Vijay are the super stars of South India who can influence the box-office big time with their films. Their movies leave a great impact at the box office. They can turn the average movies into biggest blockbusters too. They have strong fan clubs.” said Rohit Shetty who scored a hit with Simmba recently.

Ranveer Singh is the Bollywood actor who is going to reprise the role of Jr NTR in the remake of the Bollywood hit film Temper. The film is going to be an exciting one for the actor who is currently on the success streak. Meanwhile, the film’s regular shoot started in Hyderabad and the first schedule is expected to proceed for almost two months in Hyderabad. Rohit Shetty who earlier directed Golmaal, Singham franchises is the director of the movie.

The film is titled as Simbaa and Dharma Productions is the banner bankrolling the project. Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar are the producers. The film stars Sara Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s daughter in the lead. Ajay Devgan will be seen in a guest role in the film. The film is scheduled for a grand release on 28th December.

Young Tiger Jr NTR is currently very much busy shooting for his next film Jai Lava Kusa. His film Temper was a huge hit. Puri Jagannadh directed the film while the film has story provided by Vakkantham Vamsi. Bandla Ganesh is the producer of the film. Meanwhile, there are a lot of rumors regarding the remake of the film Temper.

There is a news that Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is working on the remake of the film. The director has now given clarity on the remake of the movie. Rohith said that he made a lot of changes to the script and he is using only some part of the movie. Except for four to five original scenes, the rest of the film is going to be interesting.

Bollywood ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty is known as a successful action filmmaker. The director has made so many hit films in the past, and there were a lot of reports that he is going to direct Prabhas next film which will be bilingual. But the director Rothi Shetty who came across these rumours has condemned the reports that Prabhas is being approached for his next movie.

‘I came to know about the news when I was in Spain. Don’t know where this is coming from and I really have no such plans.” said the director who is busy with the shooting of the fourth part of the super hit comedy franchise ‘Golmaal’ with Ajay Devgan, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu. The film is all set for a Diwali release.

Rohit Shetty, the pioneer of action comedies in Hindi Cinema, is currently busy with his next film script. The actor recently watched Baahubali – The Conclusion, and he has heaped praises over the entire team and appreciated the brilliant efforts they have shown in making the film a big hit. “Baahubali The Conclusion, is a great example of team effort and it just did not become a huge success because of actor’s popularity.” said the director.

The film unit maintained a less promotional campaign which worked and Rohit was also impressed of the same. The Bollywood director has also said that he likes to direct Prabhas in future. As of now, Prabhas is already occupied for the next two to three years, and every other director should wait to get his dates.

Rumours across Bollywood broke that Shah Rukh Khan will be pairing Aishwarya Rai for Rohit Shetty’s next film. When asked about the same Rohit Shetty detained such comments and addressed them as rumours.

Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for ‘Fan’ and ‘Raees’ which will most probably hit the theatres next year. He is also busy with the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Dilwale.’

In the past, SRK and Aishwarya paired together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devadas.’ These two were also approached with the lead roles in ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Sanjay Bhansali after narrating the story and characters to Shah Rukh and Aishwarya got a green signal from both sides and was about to begin the shooting. It was then Shah Rukh didn’t agree to go bald for the Bajirao character as he was committed to some other films.

With Shah Rukh Khan leaving the project, the offer went to Ranveer Singh. Aish, who didn’t opt to star opposite Ranveer, chose to drop from the film. That’s how Shah Rukh and Aishwarya missed another opportunity to act with each other.

Though Rohit Shetty casting in Shah Rukh and Aishwarya is a rumour, Bollywood is eagerly waiting to see these two once again on the screen.

We remember telling you that Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty are coming back with a bang and their next would have as many as 17 Bollywood stars in it. And along with SRK and Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon will be a part of the film. Well! That is true.

According to a leading daily, news has it that supposedly Shehenshah of tinselville, Amitabh Bachchan, has been approached by Rohit Shetty for the above mentioned film. With so many remakes up his sleeve, Rohit Shetty has another one to consider. And it is a classic blockbustering hit, Ram Lakhan in talks now. The ace director has been roped in as director to direct the Karan Johar and Mukta Arts’ remake of Ram Lakhan.

“Here’s the big announcement! Rohit Shetty & Karan Johar, in association with Mukta Arts, present RAM LAKHAN in 2016,” read a tweet upon the official handle of Karan’s Dharma Productions. And ever since then, who will reprise the role is being in talks.

While the original cast was of Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia and Raakhee, we are seriously wondering about the new one. There are so many names being speculated and considered and even suggested that should be seen in the roles of Ram and Lakhan. Some say Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, some suggest Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, some even said Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. And this has even got us thinking!

Who will be Ram and who will be Lakhan, that only time will tell. But till then, we can just wait for the makers to make official announcements.

The Entertainer Jodi of Rohit Shetty and Shahrukh Khan, are teamed up yet again and from the rumor mills we hear that there is likely to be a remake of Mukul Anand’s blockbuster from 90s- ‘Hum’. Oh yes!

Not in a film but we hear, Rohit Shetty is all set to direct Salman Khan for promos of Bigg Boss 8. Yep! That’s right.

With Rohit Shetty bringing back the charm and glamour on Khatron Ke Khiladi, aired on Colors, the channel has approached Rohit to direct the Promotional Campaign for Bigg Boss 8. As Salman has been roped in as the host of the show and every promo of Bigg Boss has seen Salman Khan in different avatar, it is deemed that for this one too Salman will be seen. If the promos will have Rohit helming them, then definitely, Shetty would be directing the Superstar Salman Khan.

Channel is likely to spend great amount of money, and would want Rohit to direct the promos. But since Rohit’s film Singham Returns is nearing its release, the ace director has asked them to wait for a few of days. And soon after the release of the film on Independence Day, Rohit will travel to Bangkok to shoot the promos of Bigg Boss.

Though Salman and Rohit have never worked on silver screen together maybe after working on small screen the two may join forces! Only time will tell!

After Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty does a cameo in Shreyas Talpade’s Poshter Boyz!

Shreyas Talpade’s next Poshter Boyz, will mark the cameo of two Bollywood ace directors in one film. Setting a track right, the film will feature the directors- Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty, doing short roles.

Talking about the same Producer, Shreyas Talpade said, “I didn’t think of it as a new trend, both Rohit and Farah are close to me and are very successful directors and I love watching their movies which are all out entertainers. When I decided to produce Poshter Boyz, being in the same entertainer space I knew I had to have them in the film.” He further added, “Both Rohit and Farah are so sweet that they immediately agreed to be a part of the film, no questions asked, true friends I can completely count on.”

Now that is called friendship, we say!

The Indian Film And Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) and The Indian Film And Television Producers’ Council (IFTPC) have written to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) requesting a meeting with Narendra Modi.

The film makers will raise the following issues in their meeting with the Prime Minister : reduction in entertainment tax and other multi-layered taxes, no stay on film once they are censored, one-window services to facilitate shoots, a request for an official industry status for Bollywood, among others.

The panel will include filmmakers and TV producers like Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Rohit Shetty, Ramesh Taurani, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rajkumar Hirani, Madhur Bhandarkar, Aanand L Rai, and Rajan Shahi.

Ashoke Pandit, the president of IFTDA, says, “The government collects heavy taxes from us but we’re not officially recognised as an industry. We’re hoping the new PM will resolve the issues at the earliest.”

Bollywood film makers to meet Modi on these issues after the IFTDA could not get their issues sorted by the previous government.

Here’s hoping that their issues are sorted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It only gets better for the audiences as a reduction in taxes would mean that the ticket prices can get cheaper!

Bollywood’s hihgly successful director and choreographer, Prabhu Deva, is perhaps one of the most sought ater directors in B-Town. His films, just like his contemporary,Rohit Shetty,has been beaten to trash by his critics. However,they have gone down to become huge money spinners which is why producers are signing him on for their ‘commercial’ ventures.

If rumour has to be believed, then Prabhu Deva is being offered a whopping 30 Crores as a remuneration for every movie that he signs for. This comes as a shock especially at a time when the stars are seen charging a couple of crores to act in the film.

This,however,puts a big question in front of us! Are money-spinning directors really that important? And is it really important for a movie to be a commerical success than it even making some sense?

Prabhu Deva has been pitted against his contemporary Rohit Shetty for making brainless comedies. However,Box office has other plans for the directors. Both of them have been highly succesful filmmakers with their films going on to be roraing successes at the box office.

It remains to be seen whether this ‘money-making’ obsession fetches any tangible results in Bollywood.
