After scoring back to back hits with Simmba and Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh is now shooting for his next film ’83. Directed by Kabir Khan, this movie is based on the victorious journey of Indian Cricket Team in the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer is essaying the role of Kapil Dev in the film.

Recently, the shoot of the film has been kickstarted in London. According to the latest grapevine, the climax sequence of the film will be shot in iconic cricket ground, Lord’s Cricket Stadium, which is also known as the Mecca of Cricket. Currently, Lord’s is hosting a few World Cup matches.

The shoot of this climax sequence will happen once the World Cup gets concluded. ’83 also features Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, Sahil Khattar among others in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone will be essaying a cameo role in it.

The official spokesperson of Deepika Padukone is said to have condemned the rumors saying that there is no truth in such rumours. Her team has clearly stated that Deepika has a brand for herself and she is not going to be seen in such small roles just because her husband is playing the lead in the movie.

On the other side, Deepika is gearing up to be a part of her next film, in the direction of Meghana Gulzar.

Meanwhile, the exciting buzz is that the film’s director Kabir Singh wants to bring Deepika Padukone as well on board for the movie. The makers are yet to lock an actress for Kapil Dev wife Romi Bhatia’s role in the film, and the director wants Deepika to shine along with Ranveer Singh.
