Jai was caught while driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol in September last year. The cops have filed a police case against him and canceled his driving license for 6 months.

Now we have come to know that he was caught by the police officers yet again and the reason for it is that his car is creating sound pollution. The incident took place in Adayar area. The cops have found that he is driving the vehicle by breaking the traffic rules. The actor apologized for the cops and said that he will get his silencer repaired.

The producers of Tamil film Baloon have filed a complaint against the film’s hero Jai with the Producers Council. They have revealed that Jai has been troubling them by not attending the shoots properly. Jai is said to be skipping the film shoots citing the reason that Anjali’s health is not well. The producers revealed that they underwent a loss of 1.5 crore rupees because of Jai and added that he has become a major reason for the film getting delayed.

“We planned a 20 days schedule in Kodaikanal and also erected a set. We waited for Jai for almost a month. We could not be able to get in touch with him directly. He tells us that Anjali is ill, but we came to know that she was actually fine. Jai is unnecessarily troubling us.” revealed the producers.

Jai and Anjali played the lead roles in the film Baloon. The film is tipped to be a horror entertainer. Raj Tarun played a cameo in the film.

A surprise official statement from debut director Sinish, which stated that he has roped in the hit pair of Engeym Eppodhum (Journey in Telugu) for his upcoming untitled horror film, added to speculations about Anjali and Jai reunion. It was a unanimous choice to have her on board”.

Vivek – Mervin, who composed the tunes for Vadacurry will do the same for this one. The yet untitled venture is supposed to go on the floors by the end of this month, meaning Trisha will move on from the Gautham Menon film directly to this one.

One supposes she will have to fit the Jayam Ravi film in between somehow as well. My, my… now that is one busy lady!

Trisha might be busy with Ajith 55 now, but the A list starlet has a lot of projects in the pipeline and one of them reportedly is a yet untitled project opposite actor Jai.

Jai’s previous pairing with an A lister had been in Raja Rani when he starred with Nayantara. Now the makers of this movie seem interested in roping in Trisha to play the female lead. Sources say the actress has shown interest but hasn’t given a clear green light yet to continue with the rest of the formalities.

Manimaran of Udhayam NH4 fame will be directing this flick. It is to be produced by Varun Manian of Radiance Media in association with Sushant Prasad and Govindraj of Film Department.

The music for the film will be composed by Vivek – Mervin who scored the tunes for Vadacurry, which also starred Jai in the lead. Velraj is handling the cinematography for the flick and the launch of the film, as of now, is set for August 15th.

Jai, of course, has intentionally or not, managed to grab the spotlight quite a few times recently, what with his decision to follow the faith of Islam which raised a lot of questions in the process.

Though the actor gave satisfactory and dignified answers to all the preposterous questions posed while emphasizing the private nature of the matter, it did hike his media profile a bit and his previous release Vadacurry has been a success.

So this would be the perfect time for the young star to be paired opposite Trisha, if she consents that is, as this is how an actor’s brand value increases in tinsel town.

In any case, we now wait for further developments on this.

Ah, finally the destined day has arrived and the movie that has been plagued by controversy, Thirumanam Enum Nikkah (TEN), has announced once and for all the date of release – July 24th!

Yes, the producers had declared earlier on that it will be a Ramzan release and now we have confirmation that the flick is planning to piggyback on the festive mood of the season. This is also a major promotional tactic for the movie which was condemned by certain Muslim organizations when the trailer came out for hurting their religious sentiments. In fact, a petition they filed in court to this effect was one of the reasons for the delay in releasing the flick.

TEN stars Jai and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles and it will forever be destined to be known as perhaps the last Kollywood movie of Nazriya, whose acting career post marriage to actor Fahadh Faasil still remains uncertain, and also the film that maybe.. perchance turned Jai towards the path of Islam.

The actor has admitted that though he hasn’t converted yet, he is now an ardent follower of the faith.

The plot revolves around a love story set against the very colourful back ground of the wedding cultures of two faiths.

The cast of the movie also includes Heebah Patel, Dinesh and Deekshitha Manikkam.

Newcomer and debutant film maker Anis is the man at the helm of the film while M Ghibran, who is riding high on success after another, has scored the tunes. In fact, the music which came out some time ago has already made quite an impact on the music scene and has been declared a hit.

Loganathan has handled the cinematography and Kasi Viswanathan has done the editing.

Thirumanam Enum Nikkah is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran under the banner of the popular Aascar Films.

Yes, it’s true – actor Jai is observing the Ramadan fast. Both the media and the people have been following the actor’s journey to the faith of Islam and speculations have risen over and over again if the actor has indeed converted to the religion.

The whole thing started when he was spotted at a mosque a few months back and since then he’s been under scrutiny regarding his mysterious transition from one faith to the other. And the actor didn’t make things easy on himself by being very tight lipped about the whole thing.

Yes, it’s understandable that your beliefs are your private concerns and you should not be forced to talk about it, but given the fact that you are in the spotlight anyways, it makes sense to lay to rest the doubts once and for all, yeah?

It seems Jai finally agrees and recently he spoke to the media about the whole thing.

“Yes, I’m following Islam and am observing the Ramadan fast. But no, I haven’t converted to Islam yet. I’m just a believer and this should be a good thing as I didn’t pray to any God for the past couple of years… now I do.” The actor clarified and added, “What baffles me why the media is so interested in my belief system, whatever it may be.”

Well Jai, all can we say except that the people are curious and therefore the media is too..

There were rumours that sprung up in between that should have provided many ideal moments for the actor to speak up – like when it was reported that he was converting to the faith for a girl – but Jai thought it best to maintain a dignified silence.

In any case, the Raja Rani star seems happy with his decisions and his professional life, and for good reason.

His last release Vadacurry has been received well by the fans, and he has multiple flicks in the works and on their way like Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah which will be a Ramzan release, Valiyavan, Arjunan Kadhali and Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum.

Vadacurry, the movie starring Jai and Swathi Reddy and directed by Saravana Rajan has finally set a release date and it is on June 19!

The movie has been in the news a lot lately due to the item number in the flick which stars none other than the sensational and controversial Sunny Leone. This was Sunny’s first step in to the south Indian film industry and boy, did it work out well for her!

Not only was Sunny paid allegedly a sum of Rs 25 crores for her song in Vadacurry, it proved to be an opportunity for her to increase her payday! Since the producers of the movie advertised her appearance in the flick through posters, stills and other promotional tactics, the movie caught everyone’s eye.

And the clever diva subsequently demanded an additional ten lacs to another producer who approached her for a song in his flick, and he gave in!

Anyway, Vadacurry does not need to put all its stock on the one song by the glamour queen as it is promised to be a fun filled, ‘laugh riotish’ romantic comedy with all the bells and whistles for mass entertainment.

Newcomers Merwin and Vivek have composed the tunes for this, although interestingly, it was Yuvan Sankar Raja who started off with the composition for the film. But later it came to be that Yuvan couldn’t find time for the work with his other projects getting in the way and that’s when the debutant composers stepped in. The movie still has the one song composed by Yuvan.

Vadacurry, which keeps getting all the right boosts, also has managed to grab a U certificate from the censor board. So, a full on family film, folks.. get to be served some traditional and sweet cinematic dish, with just the right touch of spice.

Sunny Leone’s Vada Curry Movie Censor Report makes a Big news indeed for Sunny Leone!

While getting a U certificate might not be that big a deal for other actors, for softcore pornstar turned item girl/actress Sunny, this is a big milestone in her career as all her Indian feature films so far have received an A certification. No, the movie in question does not star the hottie but has a much publicized item number of hers with the hero.

You might have guessed it by now – the movie is Vadacurry starring Jai and Swathi Reddy, and it is the sexy starlet’s debut in to the south Indian industry, in a manner of speaking.

The song in the movie which stars Sunny and Jai was shot in Goa and marked the beginning (maybe) of the tamer version of Sunny’s particular brand of sizzle sensation in Indian cinema. Not much of a call in terms of choices actually, considering the Tamil audiences are much more conservative than their northern counterparts and many actresses have had to ‘tone it down’ in Kollywood .

The movie which hopes to and has so far succeeded in marketing Sunny in the flick, even in a couple of posters, looks like it might be on the right track now with a family friendly U certification from the censor board.

The comedy/thriller is directed by Saravana Rajan and is being produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri under the banner of Meeka productions.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, including the one for Sunny’s spicy song, while Venkatesh handled the cinematography.

Vadacurry might be worth a watch after all for audiences looking for the right mix of wholesome entertainment with a touch of sizzle.

The Tamil movie industry is buzzing with the news or rather the rumour that actor Jai is planning on converting to Islam. In fact, it has been reported that the young actor has been following the religion for the past year and had even kept fast during Ramzan. Sources also say he visits the durgah on Fridays without fail. However, people close to Jai have denied the so called ‘conversion’ rumours.
