After the successful Petta, Superstar Rajinikanth is acting in the film Darbar which is being directed by star filmmaker AR Murugadoss. Already, the film has completed half of its shoot. Most of the filming is being done in Mumbai as Rajini will be seen as a Mumbai cop in the movie.

Recently, an on-location picture is being flown in media in which Rajini is seen in a cop avatar. Rajini looks suave in the cop uniform and it seems that fans will have a feast watching their favorite actor in a police avatar after such a long time. This is not the first picture that leaked from the sets as the makers are facing this problem since the start of the shoot.

Lady Superstar Nayanthara is playing the female lead in this movie. Darbar is being produced by Lyca Productions and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it. This film is slated for the release during Pongal 2020.

Nayanthara is acting as the heroine in the movie. Another actress Nivetha Thomas will be seen in the role of Rajini’s daughter in the movie. It also stars Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar in a negative role. Now, it seems that another renowned actor is all set to join the team of Darbar.

He is none other than Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose. He will be seen in a negative role as well, in this movie. This powerful cop drama is being produced under Lyca Productions. Anirudh is composing the music for it.

‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth has joined hands with filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss for his next, titled ‘Darbar’ and the film’s first look was released a couple of weeks ago. Reportedly, Nayanatara will be playing the female lead and Rajinikanth will be seen as a cop in the film.

According to the sources, Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar has been roped in for this film and will be essaying the role of antagonist. He has debuted with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and made ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ with Gautham Menon, a remake of ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ and also seen in many films like ‘Dobhi Ghat’. This hero has joined the shoot of the film, which is commencing its first schedule in Mumbai for another week and the shoot is going on a brisk phase.

Lyca Productions is bankrolling this highly-anticipated biggie and Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music.

‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth has announced his next project with director A.R. Murugadoss. Since the announcement of the project there has been many titles and plots reported to be of the film, while Murugadoss has kept confirming them as ‘Not True’ through his Twitter handle.

Yesterday, Lyca Productions has posted an update stating ‘#Thalaivar167 – #ARM First Look Out at 8.30 AM tomorrow’ through their social handles, and the first look and title are revealed to be ‘Darbar’, feat. Rajinikanth with his charming smile. Rajinikanth will be seen as a cop in the film, while ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanatara is roped-in to play his love interest and Nivetha Thomas will be essaying in the role of his daughter. Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan will be helming the camera works, while surprisingly, Anirudh Ravichander is on board to compose the soundtrack.

The film was announced after Rajinikanth announced his political entry. Produced by Lyca, the film will go on sets next month in Mumbai.
