Late actress Srividya’s house set for auction

​Late actress, Srividya’s house has been set for auctioning by the income tax department. The house is situated at Abhiramapuram and auction is to recover actor’s IT liability. Srividya’s house has been rented to an advocate by Income tax department.

According to reports, the house will be auctioned at a starting price of Rs. 1.14 crore. Ganesh Kumar, who is the executor of Srividya said, “Her tax liabilities will have to be settled first and also the bank liabilities on her residence in the capital (Thiruvananthapuram) will also have to be settled before selling it in an auction.

Srividya has willed her property and money to ailing and underprivileged artistes before her death. She passed away in 2006 at the age of 53. A dance academy and a charitable trust, Srividiya Charitable Trust were formed after her death.

First Salute to Ilayaraja

Legendary music director Ilayaraja, who has the distinction of and Guinness Book Record for composing music for over 1000 feature films, is going to receive the first salute in Chennai today.

At an event to be held today at Loyola College at Nungambakkam in Chennai, an art exhibition of Ilayaraja’ musical notes drawn by 100 artists are going to be exhibited.

It is a one of its kind felicitation for the legend. Ilayaraja, actor Vijay Sethupathi, Nadigar Sangam president Nassar and few other reputed persons from Kollywood are expected to attend the event.

In his over five-decades long career, Ilayaraja has composed music for many blockbusters and even received the highest honors from the government of India.

Homeless Hero Siddharth Goes Emotional

Tamil Hero Siddharth has been one celebrity who has been continuously posting about the updates and mobilizing the people across Chennai during the time of floods. He, who called upon the flood victims to come and stay in his home, is now homeless.

Siddharth whose residence is in Chennai was filled with water past one week. While Siddharth got back from his relief measures, he was shocked to see such scenario. “I freaked out that I had lost my house for the first time… three studios, three cars… And then I felt bad for the middle class who lost so much in just one day,” said the actor.

He permitted that the use of social media during the time of calamity was positive as well as contradictory. “When there was this time of calamity, it wasn’t as bad as the social media saw it,” said Siddharth.

The actor further admitted that ‘This was the first time where the volunteers outnumbered the victims and happy to see that.”

When asked about the Tamil Nadu government’s relief measures in handling the floods, Siddharth said, “We can’t blame anyone for the natural calamity. I don’t think any state government can bring the state to an alright situation within five days.”

Hansika struck in floods

Bubbly beauty Hansika Motwani, who was stuck in a heavy traffic last night in Chennai, walked her way to the hotel in which she was staying. She was reported of walking on the streets despite heavy rain and floods occupying the city.

Hansika, who returned to Chennai yesterday after attending a shooting in Mumbai, has landed in the city around 10:00 PM. After completing her shooting, Hansika was way back to her Park Hyatt, the hotel that she and her assistants were allotted. She was then stuck in a heavy traffic jam that was never in her mind of clearing sooner.

Additional to this the city was blessed with heavy rains as the water was stable on the busy roads. After being seated in her car for over two hours, it was then that Hansika decided to walk to her hotel that was miles away.

Accompanied by her assistants, Hansika walked on foot till she reached her hotel. It was 3 am when she reached the hotel.

This isn’t any new for Hansika to do so, in the past too she was placed in the same situation, this time it was the heavy Mumbai city. She along with her friend took on the roads and reached their destiny.
