The rampage of Kabir Singh is still continuing at the box office. It has now crossed the 200 crore mark and joined the elite club. This is the second film of Shahid to join the 200 crore club, after Padmaavat. It is his first achievement as a solo hero. Kabir Singh has collected Rs. 207 crore nett in two weeks.

With this, it has also crossed the lifetime figures of Salman Khan’s Bharat which managed to collect 198 crores at the box office. If Kabir Singh crosses URI: The Surgical Strike (246 crores), it will become the highest earner of the year 2019. Looking at its performance, it is a cake walk for this film.

The trade pundits are predicting that Kabir Singh will end up collecting somewhere around Rs. 275 crores in lifetime run. Thus, it will become the biggest hit in Shahid Kapoor’s career. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh featured Kiara Advani as the female lead.

After the debacle of Race 3, Salman Khan is coming back again with Bharat, which is all set to release this Eid, on June 5. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this movie stars Katrina Kaif as the female lead. Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi will be seen in important cameos.

Days before its release, the film has fallen into legal trouble as a PIL was filed on it in Delhi High Court, by an activist name Vipul Tyagi. He stated that the makers have demeaned the country by titling a commercial film as Bharat. He also added that there is an objectionable dialogue in the film where Salman compares himself to the country.

The PIL is filed under Section 3 of the names and Emblems Act that prevents the use of national emblems and names for commercial purposes. The makers are yet to respond on this issue. We have to how far will this affect the release of the movie.

Bharat stars Salman Khan in the lead role. Katrina Kaif is playing his love interest. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Reel Life Productions and Salman Khan Films along with T-Series are bankrolling this project.

It’s quite evident that the birth of filmmakers in Tinsel Town has been running into monstrous figures. Almost every weekend, we are witnessing the arrival of moviemakers, equipped with unique proficient skills. Here is Sharran Kumar, who is famous for couple of his short films and acting skills as well. He had his acting debut through Prakash Raj’s production ‘Inidhu Inidhu’ followed by Charles Shaffiq Karthika and Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam. Now he debuts as a filmmaker through an edge-seated thriller film that has Bharath Niwas in lead role.

“I never wanted to become an actor for filmmaking was my passion. It happened that I had been to an advertisement shooting to ask whether I could assist the director. But to my surprise, they asked me to give auditions for acting. After Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam, I felt the need to get myself straight into directorial league. Henceforth, I took nearly a year and half to complete penning the script,” says actor Sharran. It is noteworthy that Sharran had directed couple of short films among which ‘Tea or Coffee’ gained great appreciations.

Labeling his maiden debut script as a dark thriller, Sharran adds, “Bharath will be seen essaying the role of a businessman, who is squeezed into a complicated situation of saving his family from an inevitable danger. This will not be a hero-driven film, but instead will offer it emphasis on every character. Bharath was very impressed with the script and instantly gave a nod to be a part of this film.”

Gokul of Chennai to Singapore fame will be seen in a substantial role. The makers are busy in the pursuit of heroine and will be finalizing on this shortly. The technical crew consists of a much decorous team that includes Dharan (Music), Yuva (Cinematography – Jackson Durai and Burma fame), Sunny (Editor), Karky (Lyrics), Sairam Krishnan (Executive Producer) and Karundhel Rajesh (Script Consultant – Soodhu Kavvum, Netru Indru Naalai fame).

Since the script demanded the backdrops of hill station, the shoot will be held in Kodaikanal from middle of July. Lucky Chhajer is producing the film under the banner Cue Entertainment.

The actress is always game to take up some challenging roles in her career and hence, she is not going to turn down the current one. Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s daughter Esha has become a mother to a baby girl with husband Bharat Takhtani.

She delivered a baby girl through normal delivery at a hospital in Khar, Mumbai on 20 October, and the mother and the child doing fine, according to reports.

“It’s hard to express how happy I feel today! I think the baby looks like me and when she smiles, the world smiles at you. Esha and her bonding is divine,” Bharat confirmed the news.

Esha and Bharat had got married in 2012. Following news of Esha’s pregnancy, the couple had made news for a ‘babymoon’ photoshoot that they held abroad. A grand lavender-themed baby shower organised by Esha’s sister Ahana and their ‘second marriage’ as part of Sindhi customs had also made headlines.

Few days ago, Esha’s close friend Soha Ali Khan had also welcomed a baby girl with husband Kunal Kemmu.

For the first time in her life, Ravi Teja’s mother Rajyalakshmi spoke to the media and opened up on all issues including her younger son Bharath’s recent death.

I am deeply hurt by the reports and speculations about my son Ravi Teja in the drugs case, said Rajyalakshmi, mother of Mass Maharaja. “Ravi Teja doesn’t even smoke a cigarette, and you (media) are dragging into to this drugs issue. I request media not to link him with Bharath. Ravi Teja is a gentleman with no vices,” she said with tearful eyes.

“Ravi Teja is engulfed with sorrow after his brother’s death, but he is continuing shooting for the sake of the producers,” she said. She also gave clarity that Ravi Teja didn’t attend the funeral of Bharath as per the traditions of their family, not for other reasons.

“Bharath was not under influence of drugs as media is reporting. He had started turning into a good man, stopped taking alcohol also as he was selected for Bigg Boss. But accident took him away from us,” she explained further.

Ravi Teja, who is currently shooting for Dil Raju’s ‘Raja The Great’ as well as another movie ‘Touch Chesi Choodu’, is one of the 12 film personalities who received notices from Excise Department of Telangana in the case related to drugs. He had to give answers to their questioning next week.

Ravi Teja is yet to make any statement openly, but his mother came to the media. The star has been going through both personal and professional crisis.

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is currently very much busy with the shooting of his upcoming films. On the other side, he did not attend his brother Bharath’s funeral at the Jubilee Hills Mahaprasthanam on Sunday. Ravi Teja is in the city only, but he failed to make his presence at the funeral yesterday. Apparently, the body has been taken directly to the burial ground from the Osmania General Hospital mortuary.

Ravi Teja’s younger brother Raghu was the only one to present at the funeral from Raviteja’s family. He was accompanied with Actor Uttej, Ali, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and others. As we all knew that Bharath died in a car accident. Bharath was seen in the films like ‘Ready’, ‘Aa Mugguru’, ‘Jump Jilani’, ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’, ‘Okkade’, Athade Oka Sainyam’, ‘Peda Babu’ and ‘Dochai’. Very few from film industry were present at the funeral.

The reason that the family members of Ravi Teja are revealing is that they can’t be able to see his face and they can’t be able to take his death.

Upcoming Tollywood Choreographer and Dance Master Bharat, who shot fame with Aata Programme, has found dead at his home today in Mothinagar. He committed suicide by hanging in his house. The reason for his death is not exactly known but it seems that he is struggling with a financial crisis.

Bharat became famous with Omkar’s Aata programme and also Omhkar gave life for him as a choreographer. He engaged to a Vijayawada based girl and staying alone from few days, and he is earning by teaching dance classes to children. Now he is facing a tough situation as he doesn’t have many shows.

Well, PVP cinemas and Dil Raj bought the rights from Anwar Rasheed Entertainment to remake the movie as a bilingual Tamil/Telegu flick!

And just who might the cast be?

Reports are just rolling in that the cast would be an entirely new one and the stars being considered for the three lead roles are none other than Samantha, Bharath and Arya!!

For those who have seen the original it would pretty easy to figure out which roles they would be essaying now – Arya as Aju/Arjun, Bharath as Krishnan/Kuttan and Samantha as Divya seems like a good fit!

Nothing’s been confirmed officially yet and there are still a few other major roles to be filled including the ones played by Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Menon and Isha Talwar in the original.

If these reports are true, then the days to come are sure to be filled with exciting news updates.

For example, one assumes Anjali Menon would helm the project once more or would she? And what about the music? Will it be the young musical wizard of Mollywood, Gopi Sunder, in charge of the tunes again?
