Finally, there is a progress in the ongoing MeToo controversy now in Kannada film industry. After multiple rounds of verbal statements from actors Arjun and Shruthi Hariharan, the Cubbon Park police on Sunday served a notice to the actor Arjun Sarja, asking him to appear before them for a proper questioning.

Shruti Hariharan has made allegations on the actor and later filed a police complaint against him. She accused of the actor of misbehaving with her during the shooting of bilingual film Vismaya in 2015. On Friday, the high court of Karnataka has restrained the police from arresting Sarja until the next hearing on November 14 but did not stop them from moving ahead with the investigation.

The film unit has already recorded the statements of the film’s director and producer. They are going to take statements from more people involved with the movie.

Senior actor Arjun who is playing character artists roles in Telugu film industry has come up with his 150th film as a lead actor. The film is titled as Kurukshetram. Prasanna, Varalakshmi Sharath Kumar, Vaibhav, Suhasini, Hariharan have played the lead roles in the film. Arun Vaidhanadhan is the director of the film and the makers launched the trailer of the film yesterday. Natural Star Nani released the trailer on his social media profile and wished the film unit.

Arjun is playing the role of a police officer in the movie and the trailer has got some interesting dialogues. The film looks like an impressive thriller that is going to be a seat edge one. There are a lot of action elements in the film and the trailer was cut in a spectacular manner. The movie unit is hoping that the film becomes a big hit.

Nithiin will be seen in a new avatar in forthcoming Telugu action-thriller “Lie”, says producer Anil Sunkara. “The film has met our expectations and we are happy with the output.

Anil Sunkara said, “It’s going to be a tough fight at the box office as two more films are set for release, but we are confident of our product.”

Slated for release on Friday, “Lie” will compete with Rana Daggubati’s political thriller “Nene Raju Nene Mantri” and “Jaya Janaki Nayaka”. The film stars Nithiin, Megha Akash and Arjun.

He further added, “Audiences will see Nithiin in a never-before avatar and his role is going to surprise the audiences. There is an interesting twist with respect to his character and audiences are going to find it very interesting.”

Tamil star Arjun, popularly known as Action King, plays the antagonist. “He will not be seen as the typical villain we get to see in our movies. His role has a peculiar obsession and the film revolves around it. His face-off scenes with Nithiin are going to be the film’s biggest highlights,” Anil said.
