Finally, there is a progress in the ongoing MeToo controversy now in Kannada film industry. After multiple rounds of verbal statements from actors Arjun and Shruthi Hariharan, the Cubbon Park police on Sunday served a notice to the actor Arjun Sarja, asking him to appear before them for a proper questioning.
Shruti Hariharan has made allegations on the actor and later filed a police complaint against him. She accused of the actor of misbehaving with her during the shooting of bilingual film Vismaya in 2015. On Friday, the high court of Karnataka has restrained the police from arresting Sarja until the next hearing on November 14 but did not stop them from moving ahead with the investigation.
The film unit has already recorded the statements of the film’s director and producer. They are going to take statements from more people involved with the movie.
