Taapsee’s innocent act helps her big time

Taapsee Pannu, whose latest film Anando Brahma turned out to be a successful outing for the actress, reveals an interesting thing about the film. Taapsee Pannu hasn’t charged a single penny for the film and has, instead, struck a deal with the producers in the profits of the film while the film was being made.

This risky step could have landed Taapsee in troubled water but the actress’ belief in the content of the film worked out, and the film went on to become a profit reaping project. When Taapsee heard the script and found that there was no scope for a leading hero in the film which is the major force for the films budget and feasibility, she decided that she did not want to burden the film with her remuneration as it can become difficult to market it.

Anando Brahma is not a women centric film, but an ensemble cast and yet Taapsee decided to not charge for the film and wait for the profits. And this gamble paid off, as the film opened to great reception and is earning some good collections at all centers. Taapsee also has a Bollywood release now, Judwaa 2, featuring alongside Varun Dhawan in the film.

Cast and performance
Taapsee is good in her role and she looked good on screen. She doesn’t get much to perform in this movie. Srinivasa Reddy is superb in his role and he made audience go crazy with his mannerisms and witty dialogues. He is definitely one of the backbone for this movie. Thagubothu Ramesh is good as usual in his routine drunkard role and he managed to impress and make audience laugh with his role. Shakalaka Shankar is nice and the way he imitates RGV and the way he performed in the scenes is superb. He is entertaining mostly. Vennela Kishore is humorous and he is good with his expressions. Rajeev Kanakala got a good role after a long time and he played it with so ease and conviction. All other actors are good to the extent of their roles.

Verdict
Anando Brahma which impressed audience with its trailers and poster is now in theatres giving a superb hilarious and roller coaster ride to audience. This movie has good content which is lacking in many big budgeted movies. Directed Mahi V Raghav did a nice job in handling this movie. He do not waste any time and directly jumps into the story and the way he introduced the characters and their backstories are nice. After the introduction of all the characters in the first half, second half makes audience laugh continuously and all the actors on screen succeeded well in making that. Although makers released music album of the movie, there are no songs in the movie. To sum up, Anando Brahma is a promising film made with a very less budget.
