Evergreen beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has recently become teary eyed with the action of her daughter Aaradhya. Well, it was not due to any annoying act done by Aaradhya but Aishwarya shed tears with happiness.

It may be noted that Aishwarya Rai will be next seen in a prominent role in Sarabjit biopic. After the continuous shoot, Aish fell ill and took a break from the shoot for a week.

Even with illness, Aish continued to pick up Aaradhya from school every day. Aaradhya wanted to convey her wishes to her mother and prepared a ‘Get Well Soon’ card during her break time and presented it to Aish when she came to pick up her.

Aish was so moved by her little daughter’s affection that she couldn’t control her tears. Aish considers her lucky for having Aaradhya as her daughter.

The flick will be directed by Sanjay Gupta and is set to launch in January 2015. It was announced by Aishwarya herself at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Jazba is to be an action thriller and John Abraham will play a role loosely based on notorious gangster Abu Salem, after his extradition to India. John is very excited about the film and is rumoured to have said yes immediately upon hearing the story.

The sensational hero has always wanted to star opposite Aishwarya. It was all set to happen in the movie Happy Birthday directed by Shriram Raghavan years ago but the movie somehow never materialised.

John is not the hero in Jazba though, no. Unfortunately the actor’s role in the flick is a small one but supposedly an important one nonetheless.

Sanjay Gupta will be in his established and acclaimed comfort zone with this film, as he is known for his gritty action packed creations like Kaante and Shootout at Lokhandwala. He will however, be making yet another movie before Jazba hits the floors and incidentally, that one will star John Abraham as well. This upcoming project has been titled Mumbai Saga.

Aishwarya Rai, dubbed the most beautiful woman in the world by many, has always been a media sweetheart even though she has kept away from show business for a few years now and it looks like the time away was enough, as Ash (as she is called by her fans) recently announced her decision to come back to movies – and it’s been confirmed now, in a Maniratnam film!

The actress herself gave the nod to eager fans at the Cannes International Film Festival, at a sidelines interview, when she said that she is excited to be working with Maniratnam again.

“It’s not just because he is an exemplary film maker but also because he explores creativity and pushes the whole team to do so. It’s a great pleasure to work with him. Abhishek and I both feel this way and working with Maniratnam sir is like working with family.” The gorgeous actress said.

She and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, had initially costarred in lead roles in Maniratnam’s Guru which went on to gain critical acclaim and commercial success. They then repeated the success with Raavan – the Bollywood version of which also starred the couple.

The yet untitled project, which marks her re entry, is reported to be a bilingual one (Tamil and Telugu) and until recently was rumored to have a start studded cast with big names from both industries, especially Tollywood. But actors Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu, who were said to be part of it, have revealed that they have opted out of the movie because of certain problems with the script.

However, Aishwarya seems to be on board and has also said that she has another project on the pipeline with Sanjay Gupta.

But Maniratnam and Aishwarya do have an exemplary track record with some iconic movies and let’s not forget – she debuted in films in Maniratnam’s Iruvar!

So, let’s see what the legendary director and the stunning starlet have in store for us this time.

There have been speculations about Aishwarya Rai’s comeback film, ever since she took a maternity leave from films following the birth of daughter Aradhya.

Among the projects in discussion were a woman-centric film with long-time associate Mani Ratnam (‘Iruvar’, ‘Guru’ and ‘Raavan’) and a film by Shriram Raghavan opposite Varun Dhawan.

The one opposite Varun Dhawan was then started without her being in the lead role.

However, now the official one has turned out to be with Sanjay Gupta.

“Yes guys it’s true. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the dynamic female lead in my action/thriller Jazbaa,” the filmmaker tweeted on Friday.

Although it has two male leads, the film is centred around Aishwarya’s character.

Cashing in on her annual Cannes Film Festival red carpet appearance for L’Oréal Paris — which has been rescheduled for May 20 and 21 following the Air Traffic Control strike in France this year — the official announcement of the film is going to be made during the festival.

While this will be Aishwarya’s first film since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’, Gupta is expected to start shooting for it early next year after he is done with ‘Mumbai Saga’, incidentally starring Aishwarya’s ex-flame Vivek Oberoi.

Talk about directors developing a liking for a certain ‘type’ of actors.

Well, “Wine only gets better with age”. Going by this Popular notion. The starry bollywood couple of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have shot for a steamy photo shoot.

The pictures bring the chemistry of the couple on screen. “The pictures have been showed aesthetically and even though it is slightly more sensuous than our previous shoots together,we did it because we were confident of the photographer’s idea. He had a vision in mind and was quite convincing with that.”,said the couple.

The speculations can end now; the much planned project in talks with Mani Ratnam directing Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu together seems to have been confirmed by Suhasini Maniratnam; and none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be making a grand come back after her sabbatical.

Suhasini confirmed in a recent interview with a regional channel in Tamil that the project bringing the super trio is very much in action, and that the shooting for this project will commence from June this year.

The surprise factor added to this project is actress Shruti Haasan, who will be cast as a second female lead opposite Mahesh.

The lady Maniratnam further confirmed that the film will be an action thriller adventure made in the lines of Hollywood’s Bourne series and Mission Impossible. Planned to be made as a Telugu Tamil bilingual, the film is a super delight for the fans.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shares a long standing work relationship with Mani Ratnam; she was often his favourite leading lady who played some great roles in movies like Guru, Iruvar and Raavan.

This will also mark a great return for the gorgeous diva who was off the acting grid, blissful in her maternity sabbatical with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

Sharing a great peer camaraderie, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and star daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan launched the trailer of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming opus, Kochadaiiyan. The event was a buzz with the glorious Bachchan parivaar making time to unveil Rajini’s film teaser. While Ash looked dazzling in a Pankaj and Nidhi Anarkali outfit, Big B looked classy in his dark grey blazer. Aishwarya’s mom Vrinda Rai also attended the event along with the Bachchans.

Kochadaiiyan, directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, the daughter of Tamil superstar is a 3 D film with techno effects on the story of a warrior, Kochadaiyaan. The movie underwent a massive making, roping in the Hollywood technicians coupled with elaborate post production work. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead for the first time opposite Rajini in this magnum opus. The music has been composed by the Madras Mozart A R Rahman.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth have earlier worked together in Robo, a sci-fi film on the humanoid robot that was dubbed into many languages including Hindi. The bonding between the two families has been affectionate ever since.
