Actress Nayanthara is now considered as Lady Superstar among the audience. She enjoys a massive fan following in all the South Indian states. But this stardom didn’t come in overnight and Nayan had to cross a lot of obstacles to achieve it. The actress also said that she made many mistakes in her career.

While speaking in a recent interview, Nayan said that one film that she still regrets acting in is Ghajini. She stated that the director had narrated a role to her before the shoot but after the film is done, it turned out to be an entirely different character on the screen. She was very disappointed by it.

She then decided to be more cautious before signing the multistarrer films. Interestingly, she is now acting in Rajinikanth’s Darbar, which is being directed by AR Murugadoss, who also helmed Ghajini. Nayan will be soon seen in Mr Local, which features Iva Karthikeyan as the male lead.

Nayantara, who was known for her bubbly and girl next door kind of characters, experimented with the flick “Anamika”. It didn’t work out well at the box office, but Nayantara is determined to do another challenging role in South India.

She is currently working for a venture titled “Maya”, which is a horror shaded flick. It seems that Nayantara decided to put in her best to frighten the audience. This film is set to get dubbed into Telugu too, may be with a different title.

Soon after knowing that Nayantara is trying another experiment, few spectators in social media mentioned that Nayantara decided to frighten them in the theatres with the decision of trying a horror oriented venture. Nayatnara generally loves taking challenging roles, We have to see, how far she will be successful in achieving success in this genre.

According to the latest reports from the market gurus in the southern film industries, this is true – Nayanatara is by far the highest paid actress! Her popularity and appeal to the masses stand as a testament to this fact and this is despite the controversial bans she has faced in Tollywood recently.

If you remember, her neglecting to appear for some key promotional events in some of her movies got her in to trouble with the producers who found her ‘arrogant’. On the other hand, certain other producers have also praised her professionalism at times.

Her agreeing to work again with Simbhu in Idhu Namma Aalu, directed by Pandiraj, forgetting her previous tumultuous history with the actor would be one such case where she got the folks in the industry talking. Reportedly though, she did demand and land a huge payday for her performance in the movie which is now in post production stages.

The starlets of tinsel town who come second and third to Nayan in terms of their salaries are Kajal Aggarwal and Hansika Motwani, respectively.

Now this begs the question.. What about Samantha? She has after landed some of the biggest projects in recent memory and is perhaps the busiest of them all.

Well, according to sources, she comes in fourth in terms of her paycheque demands. And maybe this is why she is the most sought after of them all as she is bankable enough and enjoys a huge fan appeal factor but is not too expensive to employ.

Now, that is rather clever in terms of marketing your brand value and no wonder her career graph is on the rise with projects like Anjaan and Kaththi, back to back.
