Legendary actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with the film Dhadak last year. Unfortunately, Sridevi passed away months before the release of the film and Janhvi couldn’t show her work to her mother. But, the actress was praised for her debut act and the film also ended up as commercial success.
Now, she has chosen a content-oriented film as her second feature. Janhvi is currently acting in the biopic of Gunjan Saxena, a female pilot who took part in the Kargil War. The makers have titled this film as Kargil Girl. It is being directed by debutant Sharan Sharma.
The shoot is currently underway in Lucknow. A few key scenes are being shot between Janhvi and Angad Bedi, who is acting as her brother in the film. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen as their father. Meanwhile, Janhvi also signed Karan Johar’s Takht which will go on floors within a couple of months.
