It has already been reported that the Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi has wanted to hold hands with the cinematographer of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom, Prem, for his next directional endeavor. Vijay Sethupathi is currently riding high with back to back hits and having grabbed this interesting film now is raising expectations on his career. Though there was this news for a long time, it was confirmed now.

The makers are currently in hunting the cast as they need a senior actor who could play the role of a moderately aged lady. Sources additionally express that the film will be delivered by Nanthagopal (from Madras Enterprises) of Romeo Juliet fame and that the creators want to begin the shoot by January next year. More details about the film are going to be revealed soon.

Tamil hero Dhanush’s much-awaited gangster film “Vada Chennai”, after much delay has gone to floors in last month and has started its shooting in a Jail set. The cast of this film has gone through many changes and as for the latest update, hero Vijay Sethupathi of Pizza fame has been considered for main antagonist role. Both Dhanush and Vijay were friends since Dhanush was the producer for Vijay’s “Nenu Rowdy Ne” Tamil version which was a big hit there. Previously, Vijay Sethupathi also has expressed his desire to act in Vetrimaaran’s direction.

On the other hand, Samantha has been replaced by actress Amala Paul as female lead role for “Vada Chennai” film and the movie also features Andrea, Daniel Balaji, Karuna as and others playing important roles. If Vijay Sethupathi accepts this offer, then the prospects of this mega Tamil trilogy will be multiplied.

Vijay Sethupathi is currently busy shooting for his next film Rekka. The film shoot is currently going on at a brisk pace in Tiruvayyavur locales. Currently, the shoot is happening near a temple in Tiruvvayavur, and the local people of the place are very angry on the film unit. They are on a protest demanding that the film’s shoot should be halted. There is a strong reason behind that. There are many vehicles related to the film shoot that were parked at the shooting spot which caused the inconvenience to the public as they could not come out of their houses because of the car parking in front of their homes.

In such scenario, a man asked one of the drivers to remove his car and the driver immediately lost his temper that resulted in a heated discussion between them. Local Residents assembled in large number to support their neighbor and the driver ran away with fear. Police officials finally intervened and initiated talks with people and promised to take action on the driver who misbehaved and also assured that they will see that the film will not have its shoot there.

Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is the film which brought Vijay Sethupathi out of the failures. The film has given a stand for the actor in Tamil film industry and also established him as a consistent commercial hero who can also have experimented. The film’s director Vignesh Shivan has received a lot of appreciations for handling an interesting subject and providing the required entertainment. He was also allegedly reported to be in a relationship with the same film’s lead actress Nayanthara. Now, the ongoing buzz from the Kollywood revealed that this combination is all set to join hands again for yet another interesting film. Vijay Sethupathi, who is riding high with constant success, has signed the film in the direction of Vignesh.

Vignesh Shivan has roped in his girlfriend Nayanthara for the primary female lead. Real-life boxer Ritika Singh, who made successful debut with the Tamil film Irudhi Suttru (‘Saala Khadoos’ in Hindi) also starring Madhavan, has reportedly signed her second Tamil film.

Tamil film director Manikandan, who directed the National Award-winning film Kaaka Muttai, is gearing up to make his second film and has brought two highly talented actors on board.

Tentatively titled ‘Aaandavan Kattalai’, the film will have Ritika playing the leading lady of Vijay Sethupathi. Said to be a lighter subject with huge scope for humor, ‘Aaandavan Kattalai’ will go on floors next month. Manikandanalso confirmed that the movie won’t be a full-length comedy either.

Ritika was appreciated by the critics for her acting as a boxer in her debut film Irudhi Suttru. Even though Madhavan had played the role of boxing coach with supreme conviction, Ritika could outclass him with her raw performance.

Madhavan’s latest Tamil release ‘Irudhi Sutttru’ has received positive response and good box office output. The makers of this boxing drama have decided to make another film with him.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi will play the villain role, a gangster,in this film titled Vikram Vedha. Said to be a romantic thriller, it will have Madhavan playing the lead, an encounter specialist. Makers are trying to work out the dates of Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.

Madhavan has confirmed that talks are going on for Vikram Veda. Director duo Pushkar-Gayathri will direct this film starring Madhavan. Pushkar had earlier helped director Sudha Kongara Prasad to film Irudhi Suttru and thus earned the faith of Madhavan.

Producer Sashikanth of Y Not Studios revealed that Madhavan and Vijay have agreed to be part of this film and an official announcement will be made soon.

Vijay Sethupathi is more than annoyed by the latest developments in his professional life. Don’t let this give you the impression that we’re talking about one of his current movies or the people behind them – no. In fact, that’s exactly the point!

Akhaada was a Kannada movie in which the actor played a minor role almost three years ago. The lead actors of the flick were Vasanth and Nayana Krishna. This was before Vijay Sethupathi became the star he is today and managed to create a bankable profile with the audiences and producers.

Now, the original Kannada movie is being dubbed into Tamil under the title Edakku, and the team behind it came out with the first look posters of the movie recently. It was when Vijay saw these that he realised what they were doing.

Edakku is being publicised with him as the front man! Infact, he is being given more prominence than the hero and heroine of the film!

Vijay feels this is a disservice to his fans who might get the impression that he did the lead part in the original and may be disappointed when they see it. He did not even dub for the Tamil version to top it all off!

Vijay finds the whole thing as just a cheap and unscrupulous attempt to cash in on his popularity, and will be seen as a bad mark on his public image by the people.
So no one can blame the actor for being a little miffed, yeah?
