Going by the latest buzz in the Kollywood filmnagar, it is heard that the Tamil producers council president Vishal was arrested by the cops. The arrest happened in connection with the dispute happening between Vishal and some other producers from the council.

Going into the actual reports, some of the producers in the council are not happy with Vishal’s decisions as they feel that he is taking decisions which will put the producers in loss. They are also demanding a resignation from Vishal on this regard.

On Wednesday, the producers locked the council office and have revealed their protest regarding the same and demanded to cancel the existing committee and go for the elections again.

On Thursday, Vishal tried to break the lock for the office and tried to barge into the office because of which the controversy popped up. The cops came into the light and have arrested Vishal to take the situation under their control.

Later, Vishal took to Twitter and posted, “Police who were mute yesterday wen unauthorised ppl locked the doors & gates of TFPC have arrested me & my colleague today for no fault of ours,absolutely unbelievable. We will fight back,wil do everything to conduct Ilayaraja sir event & raise funds to help Producers in distress.”

Director Hari and fiery young star Vishal have quite a good working relationship, as both worked together in Thamirabharani, which was one of Vishal’s early ones and are now teaming up again in Poojai.

Vishal is producing Poojai under the banner of his own company Vishal Film Factory, and the flick stars the stunning Shruthi Hassan opposite him. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the tunes in this one.

But it looks like there might have been quite an interesting incident at the location of the film’s shooting – no, it’s nothing scandalous; in fact it’s quite the opposite.

According to rumours, director Hari pitched a story to Vishal while working, and so impressed was Vishal that he immediately agreed to producing it under the banner of his new company. Here’s the kicker – Hari didn’t pitch a fully fledged story.. just a one liner about the plot!

My, my, what an interesting idea it must be that just that ‘nutshell presentation’ got the hero excited enough to produce it. We aren’t sure yet though if Vishal intends to tackle the lead in this mysterious story, though it wouldn’t be surprising given the actor’s successful track record in recent years.

His last film Naan Sigappu Manithan was received well by the audiences and the movie’s choice of unique subject matter, like narcolepsy, proved to be a winning formula. Vishal is already known for picking roles that challenge him and he has built for himself a reputation for being a very physical actor.

He was actually injured while filming recently for Poojai and had to receive multiple stitches but showed up to work again without much delay, thereby showing a profound sense of professionalism. Or maybe the fact that he is the producer of the film too may have factored in to it.
