Ace Filmmaker Santosh Shivan shared a funny meme on Twitter which made him land in trouble. The tweet is controversial and all the producers are now raging with anger on him.

Apparently, he posted a meme picture which showed an angry dog with the caption ‘Producer while paying technicians’ and a picture of the same dog smiling with the caption ‘Producers while paying heroine’. This meme failed to go down well with the fellow producers. A few of them even filed a complaint on Santosh Sivan to Tamil Film Producers Council and requested them to take action against Santosh Sivan for disrespecting them.

However, Santosh Sivan has deleted his post and apologized to the producers claiming that he did it for fun but not to insult anyone. On the work front, Santosh Sivan is all set for his next directorial in Malayalam with Manju Warrier, Kalidas Jayaram and Soubin Shahir in pivotal roles.

Vadivelu is one of the star comedians in South Film Industry who is a senior. The actor was inactive in the movies for quite some time but has finally made his comeback two years back but failed o entertain the audiences like how he used to in the olden days. Now, he was issued with a Red Card by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) regarding a controversy that erupted over Vadivelu’s ongoing film ‘Himsinche 24va Pulikesi’.

The producers council has issued this card as Vadivelu walked out of the film in the middle. The producers claimed that Vadivelu hadn’t cooperated for the shoot right from the beginning and has become the reason for the increase in production costs. This has apparently resulted in the loss of almost Rs 9 Crore rupees for the producers and TFPC had asked Vadivelu to pay the loss to which he is not okay.

As a result, the council has given strict orders to the producers to not approach the popular comedian.

A section of Tamil film producers led by National Award-winning director and producer Cheran conducted a sit-in protest inside the Producers’ Council office premises, demanding that TFPC President Vishal step down following his decision to contest in the upcoming RK Nagar by-election.

Earlier on Monday, Vishal filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the RK Nagar by-election. The actor-producer is the general secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and also the president of Tamil Film Producers’ Council.

In a press meet held in Chennai, several producers including Cheran demanded Vishal’s resignation as he is contesting in the election. Speaking to the media, Cheran said, “Nadigar Sangam doesn’t need any support but producers always need the support of the ruling party. Vishal’s decision of entering politics will affect the Producer Council’s relationship with the ruling party. Several pending perks and benefits which the government will be supporting will be affected.”

He also added, “Vishal after assuming office has not done anything for the betterment of the TFPC.” Earlier this year, Vishal who produces films under the banner of his ‘Vishal Film Factory’ won the Producers’ Council election by a margin of 154 votes, beating veterans Kothanda Ramaiah (KR Infotainment) and R Radhakrishnan (Maruthi Films). It was a closely fought contest.
