Punch dialogues are the trademark of Indian cinema, especially south Indian cinema and the fans everywhere go crazy at the dark cinema halls and resort to thunderous applause and spirited cheers, when the hero spits out these ‘mass’ one liners.
And it doesn’t end there does it? These verbal goldmines, if they make an impact that is, are used and reused for years to come by enthusiastic audiences at the most hilarious and apt occasions. Truly, kudos to the writers for coming up with these iconic creations of fan fervour!
Now, we have Suriya starrer Anjaan’s punch dialogue.. or maybe just one of them at least! And it was tweeted out to the fans by UTV Motion Pictures Dhananjayan.
“You think I am a pigeon that flees at the sound of a cracker ? I wait patiently and seize the prey. I am the Eagle… Anjaan”.
And there you have it folks!
One can already imagine Suriya throwing this out to the baddie with an awesome background score to back it up!
Of course, this is the translated version.. the original Tamil one would be elegantly rhythmic in sound and even more powerful at the opportune moment.
Anjaan is slated for release on August 15th.
It has Suriya playing dual roles and the gorgeous Samantah as the female lead. The flick has been touted as a ‘gangster’ film set against the backdrop of the criminal underworld of Mumbai.
It’s being directed by N Lingusamy and also being produced by his home company Thirupathi Brothers. The masterful Santhosh Sivan handles the cinematography and the editing work is being done by Anthony.
Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music of the flick, and it features a song sung by Suriya himself!
The rest of the cast of the film includes Manoj Bajpai, Vidyut Jamwal, Rajpal Yadav and Dalip Tahil.
