Tollywood popular production and distribution house UV Creations is releasing Suriya’s upcoming flick ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’ in Telugu as Gang for Sankranthi, despite heavy competition for the festival.

UV Creations has earlier dared to release their medium range films like Express Raja and Mahanubhavudu against top star movies during festival seasons and they attained success both the times. This time again, they are ready for another challenge. They hope the festival sentiment work in favor of them.

The fact is Gang is not a straight film. It is official remake of Bollywood hit Special 26 that starred Akshay Kumar in lead role. Though several filmmakers in South tried to make freemake for the Hindi movie, things didn’t materialize.

Gnanavel Raja bought Special 26 rights and director Vignesh Shivan made few changes to the script to suit sensibilities of south audiences.

The film’s trailer hints that, it has elements for classes as well as masses. While the visuals appear to be classy in Trivikram style, Suriya’s getup and his acts are completely massy.

Meanwhile, Gang is releasing worldwide on January 12th.

Tamil star hero Suriya is currently very busy shooting for his new movie Thaana Serndha Koottam. The film stars Suriya Siva Kumar in the primary lead and it also has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead. The film is said to be an official remake of the film Special 26. Vignesh Shivan is the director of the film and UV Creations is releasing the movie in Telugu.

The makers launched the Tamil teaser of the film on 30th November. A special appreciation has come for the movie. The teaser clocked maximum views and it was liked by more than 6.1 lakh people which is a new record. The teaser is the most liked teaser as it crossed the record of Ajith’s Vivegam. Mersal’s teaser is in the top position now.

Studio Green banner is producing the movie where KE Gnanvel Raja is the producer of the film. Anirudh is the music director.

Tamil superstar, Suriya is known for his charity works under his foundation called Agaram. For the first time, he is going all the way to the US for raising funds for his foundation.

Agaram is a non-profitable organization founded and lead by hero Suriya which helps poor and orphan children. This foundation currently helping 2000 poor students for their school and college education. To raise more funds and to help more people. Suriya is going to US in order to get more donations. He will be visiting the areas of New York, Dallas, New Jersey, Seattle etc to meet and greet fans. Already he has landed there and headed to the first destination.

The interested candidates have to login and register online through Agaram websites. Then selected candidates have to donate for Agaram foundation and have a chance to dine with this kind hearted superstar.

Tamil senior actor Sivakumar is doing some charity works now and then in Tamilnadu by giving clothes and books for the poor students. Now, he has seen doing the similar thing recently. He along with his both sons Karthi and Surya were spotted at Prasad Labs theater distributing financial aid for some students. The family is going to help 500 students by paying their education fee.

Surya is doing this charity work through his Agaram foundation, and the foundation has been helping a lot of school going, college going students in paying their fee. Suriya said that they are doing this from a long time for every student who approaches their foundation. Suriya said that his motive is to make sure that all students get a proper education. Surya and Karthi said that their father is their inspiration for this.

Neelagiri Court has now sent notices to some Tamil actors. Hero Suriya, Satyaraj, and heroine Priya Anand are those who have received the notices, and the court has also issued an arrest warrant on them. The court has issued a PT Warrant to Surya while seven others were sent Non-Bailable warrant. Sharath Kumar, Comedian Vivek, young hero Arun Vijay were also among the list.

All of them were given notices with regards to a defamation case. These actors have made some objectionable comments on press some time back and the Press Council has approached the court. This is something sensational as the top stars were never given the arrest warrants at a single go. Story

A police commissioner is murdered in Mangalore and it is taken very seriously by higher officials as a special case and Narasimha (Surya) is given job to solve the case and is deputed to Mangalore. He easily solves the case and he comes to know the mystery behind the murder and also knows about the involvement of mafia don Vittal (Anoop Singh Thakur). He starts enquiring about Vittal and comes to know that he manages his business, mafia, gangs and everything from Australia. Narasimha flies to Australia to destroy Vittal and his mafia. How will he do this forms the rest of the story.

Cast and Performance
Surya as Narasimha is so aggressive and as energetic as Narasimha in Yamudu. He even looks the same as the first one. He delivered a superbly enjoyable performance for masses. Shruthi Hassan is good in her role. Anoop Singh Thakur is superb in his debut film as a villain. He is perfectly apt for his role and he is menacing against Surya. Anushka Shetty is fine. Nassar is good. Soori and Robo Shankar tried to generate few laughs but failed miserably. Radhika Sarathkumar is good in her small role. All other actors are good for their roles.

Writing Department

Story of Yamudu 3 is simple and good. Screenplay is well written and is so racy except for few scenes. Dialogues are good but writers could have avoided rhyming.

Technical Departments
Songs composed by Harris Jayaraj are not so good and none of the songs register into our minds while watching. Background score is good but is not upto the mark of first two parts of Yamudu which were composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Cinematography by Priyan is nice and rendered nice visuals. V.T. Vijayan & T S Jay as editors did a fine job in maintaining the racy screenplay. Action sequences are well composed and surely attract the mass audience. Production values are apt.

Verdict

Yamudu was a blockbuster which had given makers a chance to explore something out of that again for makers and they made Yamudu 2 which was a commercial success and the makers now came with Yamudu 3. This part is nothing less than the previous parts in action and logicless scenes. Everything we see in Yamudu 3 is seen by us some other movie and it offers nothing in terms of new content but Surya made it watchable with his action and body language. Director Hari who was criticized for Yamudu 2 seems to have learnt something out of it and written a pretty gripping screenplay for this part and failed to handle the comedy sequences which hinders the flow of the movie. There is absolutely no evidence of him taking care of logics and music is the biggest drawback for this part. This part is definitely better than the previous one in terms of screenplay. To summarise, watch this Yamudu 3 for the full commercial and action cinema.

The film Singham 3 was supposed to hit the theaters on 9th of December last year, but the film was pushed to another date in January and then postponed twice which finally settled on 9th February 2017. The postponement of the movie did show some effect on the fans and the movie lovers. But when everyone thought that the film is releasing today, the shocking news came in the form of the cancellation of the Telugu shows in Hyderabad today morning. Even the Tamil shows were also cancelled in Hyderabad.

Though there is a buzz that the shows were cancelled because of the technical problems, the actual news is that the Telugu version producer Malakapuram Sivakumar has to clear some payment and because of this reason the film was cancelled. As of now, there is no update on the release.

The producer Gnanavel Raja of Green Studios Entertainment has fired on Tamil piracy sites. Now a noted piracy website has blackmailed producer, and this has created a sensation.

It all started when a noted Tamil Piracy site called Tamil Rockers declared that they would upload and stream the movie Singam-3 live on 9th February. However, the producer fired on the website in a recent audio function. He stated that how can that website release the flick even before there is no guarantee on official theatrical release. He, in turn, fired on the whole website that those sites should be banned.

Responding to his comments, the Tamil Rockers have replied back to the producer in their style. They said that the speech was excellent, but they asked the producer to mark the date 9th on the calendar. Such that they will release the movie on their site despite the official theatrical release. Meanwhile the hero Suriya is worried about the movie’s release.

The digital filmmaking has come up with several disadvantages along with some advantages. The director should have command over the film while making it. Many at times, the director shoot the footage, and he later edits it and sometimes sends it to the trash. The advantage is that we can shoot the film with a lot of freedom. But the expenditure is high. The latest buzz now reveals that there is a lot of waste footage associated with the film Singham 3 starring Suriya in the lead role. Hari is the director of the film. Singham 3 is the third part in Singham franchise.

The sources have revealed that only 0.8 percent of the total footage has been used for the film and the remaining 99.2 percent has gone to the trash. Hari himself confessed the same recently. A lot of time and budget might have gone for a waste in the process. The director also added that he might use the wasted footage when he makes the next parts for Singham.
