There were a lot of reports regarding the biopic being made on the life of legendary actress Sridevi. Since the time she left us, there were rumors about the project and a few reported that RGV will direct the film but the filmmaker confirmed that he is making no such plans.

It’s almost a year that the legendary actress left all of us and there is this discussion about her biopic again. As per the reports, Boney Kapoor is all set to begin the work on the project. Everyone is not sure about the actress who could possibly play the female lead role in the film.

As per the latest grapevine, Madhuri Dixit is said to be the front-runner to play Srivdei in the biopic. More details on the same are awaited.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh is juggling her career in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil industries. As she is busy with multiple projects, she is not being seen as often as before she used to be in Telugu Cinema. Recently, she was seen in a cameo in NTR: Kathanayakudu, where she reprises the role of Sridevi.

Looks like she has fallen in love with Sridevi while playing her character on screen. In a recent interview, Rakul said that she liked Mahanati a lot and she would like to make one such film on the life of Sridevi. Well, even though Rakul has let out her desire, Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor has to decide on it.

Meanwhile, Rakul is acting in a Hindi film opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Hindi. She will be seen in Karthi’s Dev and Suriya’s NGK in Tamil. In Telugu, she has signed Venky Mama which is yet to go on floors.

Sridevi is the legendary heroine on Indian screen. She started off her career with Telugu cinema and went on to be seen in some biggest hits of Bollywood film industry. She received recognition in all the film industries and emerged as one of the star heroines in her times. Unfortunately, death reached her fast and she left everyone of us.

Since the time her death took place, there was news about her biopic. A lot of filmmakers are planning to do this biopic but Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor is also in plans to do the same. Apparently, he is already planning to do this from a long time but took the decision recently.

Boney Kapoor is also in plans to release a book on the life of Sridevi. The details about the director and the cast for the biopic are expected to be out soon.
