Akhil Akkineni is currently busy working on the post-release promotions of his new movie Mr. Majnu. There are a lot of rumors about his next film that he will be seen in Satya Prabhas’ next film or Sreenu Vaitla movie. The actor is interacting with a lot of media people and revealed a couple of interesting things about his personal life.

The actor admitted that he did not watch all his father’s movies but watched a few of his mother’s films. The actor told that Hello Brother was his favorite movie.

Talking about smoking, Akhil revealed that he quit smoking at a point in his life realizing how bad it is and how it is affecting him. He then added that he feels it difficult to smoke in the movie sets.

When asked to choose between Sachin and Kohli, Akhil said that Sachin is an inspiration for a lot and Kohli is one for the current generation.

It is not new that the heroines learn a lot of new things for their movies and sometimes, they will be next level things. Very recently, we have reported that Priyanka Jawalkar consumed alcohol on the sets of Taxiwala for a scene and it is the time for Nabha Natesh now to learn to smoke for a movie.

Nabha Natesh is the Kannada beauty who did two Telugu movies Nannu Dochukundhuvate and Adhugo. She is said to be ready to do any role in Telugu and is also ready to undergo any situation for a character.

Recently she said, “I will work very hard for a film. I learned Horse Riding recently for a movie in Kannada and also learned smoking Beedi for one particular scene. The director garu told me that he would manage the scene to avoid me doing it but I didnot like it. I learned smoking Beedi for this particular scene and did it with perfection. Later, that smell and flavor in my mouth irritated me for some days but I have the satisfaction that I gave my complete to the film.”

Her next film is with Ravi Teja, in the direction of VI Anand.

Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathaari or VIP is doing phenomenal business eclipsing all others right now on the screens in Tamil Nadu. To make matters even more jubilant, the actor just celebrated his 31st birthday on top of that, albeit in a small ceremony with friends and loved ones. Let’s not forget that Dhanush is also the producer of VIP!

But nothing ever goes that perfect and as if to prove that particular point, a dark cloud has risen in the form of a protest from the Tamil Nadu Forum for Tobacco Control (TNFTC) against the young superstar.

Yes, the organization has protested at and expressed their condemnation for the actor displaying several scenes in the flick where he is smoking cigarettes. Such shots of him lighting one up are also on many posters of the movie.

The TNFTC feel that by doing this, the actor has indirectly encouraged the practice of smoking which is a major health issue with proven injurious effects to health. They feel this was inconsiderate of Dhanush, given how influential he can be to the millions of impressionable youth out there and also to his own enormous fan community.

They feel that such open support for smoking should not be done by anyone who exerts large amounts of potential influence over the masses. In fact, the TNFTC has, prior to this, also requested stars such as Ajith, Rajinikanth, Vijay, Suriya etc. also not to smoke on screen in their films.

The very determined and outraged organization had already requested the Tamil Nadu Government to take down all the posters of VIP, which has Dhanush smoking initially. This had caused Dhanush to launch fresh ‘clean’ posters a few weeks back.

The TNFTC also has questioned the censor board, as part of their campaign against VIP, about how the flick managed to land a U certificate despite all of this!
Well, a justifiable protest or making a mountain out of a molehill to draw attention to their cause, however public oriented it may be… you decide.
