Akhil Akkineni was made fun of by handsome hunk Rana Daggubati during the recently held SIIMA 2016 awards event held in Singapore.

After Akhil was getting off the stage post receiving the best debutant male trophy for ‘Akhil’, Rana took a dig at him by asking his age. Unknowing of Rana’s intentional satire, Akhil replied that he was 22. Rana took no time to break the ice by saying, “I’m 32 and I am still single. Why are you so eager to marry at such young age?”

Akhil was shocked with Rana’s public revelation of his relationship status. Akhil kept quiet and smiled, but onlookers said that Akhil’s face turned red as Rana made those comments in front of a huge gathering.

It may be noted that Akhil is in love with young Hyderabad-based designer Shriya Bhopal and their engagement might happen very soon.

A host of stars from the southern film industry are gearing up to enthrall the audiences at SIIMA Awards event this year.

SIIMA management has spent a bomb this year just like every other year to rope in some of the biggest stars of south film fraternity to attend the two-day mega awards event.Going by the latest reports, the organizers of SIIMA Awards have done the remarkable thing by roping in mega star Chiranjeevi to grace the event this year.

Reports further added that Chiranjeevi has been paid a mammoth amount to perform live on stage for the first time at an awards function. Sources from SIIMA Awards function revealed that Chiranjeevi’s 150th project will be promoted during this function. The presence of the mega star is expected to raise the craze for this award function to be held at this June end.

The most anticipated South Indian International Movie Awards- SIIMA is back with its 5th edition on 30th June and 1st July 2016, in Singapore. Taking the South Indian Movie industry onto a global platform, the SIIMA nomination process is executed by a panel of veteran judges from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries. The process then goes into the hands of the audiences, who vote online to give the final verdict of the winners. SIIMA recently announced the nominees of 2016. Star actors Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun have been nominated for the best actor award.

Ever since the audience poll goes on live, there was a huge competition between Prabhas and Mahesh and the duo are competing with almost similar vote percentages. But, coming to everyone’s surprise from the last night, there is a sudden hike in the vote percentage of Bunny. Moreover, the vote percentage of Mahesh and Prabhas has pushed down.

After observing the hike in Bunny’s vote percentage, SIIMA cross checked and have learnt that about 30,000 votes were fake and also deleted from their site. Now, again the contest is open between Mahesh and Prabhas.

SIIMA is all set to witness the best of Entertainment being awarded under one roof. The time now has come for SIIMA 2016 and the venue is going to be Singapore. It is learnt that some really fantastic events have been planned for this event, and it is going to rock like never before.
