Beautiful actress Raai Laxmi is all set to thrill the audience with thriller flick this time. Titled as ‘Where Is The Venkata Lakshmi’, the makers have unveiled the teaser of this film today.

Kishore Kumar is helming this project. The teaser video featured Raai Laxmi showcasing her assets to the camera. The actress is looking uber hot in her black saree and gold blouse. The 1-minute video showed nothing but the hot looks of Raai Laxmi. We have to wait and see how the movie is going to be. Ram Karthik, Praveen, and Madhunadhan are also playing vital roles in the film. Thatavarthi Kiran is providing a story, screenplay, and dialogues for the flick.

Hari Gowra is composing tunes for this film. ABT Creations banner is bankrolling the project. The official release date is yet to be locked.

Gorgeous actress Raai Laxmi will appear in a sizzling avatar in the upcoming movie, Julie 2. She plays the female lead in Julie 2, will be seen donning a bikini in her Bollywood debut.

In a recent media interaction, Raai Laxmi said, “The film is not mere skin show, but there is lots of drama and emotion to showcase my acting skills. It is a great opportunity to play such a role in Julie’s sequel,”

She further added, “There is a bikini scene in the movie, and given my broad frame, it takes a lot of work to get into that bikini mode. On screen, you just can’t look even a wee bit fat while sporting a bikini. It is something that I haven’t done before and am really looking forward to it.”

Directed by Deepak Shivdasani, Julie 2 is reportedly a story about a simple girl, who wants to reach the top in the glamour industry. It is a sequel to the Neha Dhupia-starrer erotic thriller Julie that also had a lot of skin show and steamy scenes.

Meanwhile, she will be seen with our very own Megastar Chiranjeevi in Khaidi No: 150 special song. Speaking about her experience with Chiru, She said that it’s her privilege to shake legs with Megastar and her dream comes true with the song.

It was only a few weeks ago that the gorgeous girl Lakshmi Rai emerged in a new avatar after rechristening herself Raai Lakshmi. The actress’s replies to curious folks everywhere about her name changing was that her original name never suited her – it didn’t have quite the pizzazz to match her personality and now that she was doing more action and stylish roles, the transformation was called for.

And it seems Raai’s luck has changed indeed because now she has back to back releases in Tamil coming soon and a big one in Malayalam too, opposite Mammootty, named Rajadhi Raja.

But it is her Tamil releases, specifically Aranmanai, directed by Sundar C, which has caused a bit of grief for the diva.

Rumours began spreading that all of her scenes from the multi star studded flick had been cut out. The film, after all, had a number of other leading ladies in it, they said. The rumours, as they often do, then began growing and mutating to the point that it became the talk of Kollywood – that Raai and Sundar C now shared bad blood.

But name changed or not, our darling starlet is not one to sit silently by and watch gossip mongers wreak havoc with her professional life, so she gave a solid, unambiguous statement to the press clarifying matters.

Rumors are all they are and baseless ones at that she exclaimed.

“I have seen the finished version of the movie and all my scenes are there. There is absolutely no bad blood between Sundar sir and me, and I wish the crew of the movie all the best with its release.” Raai concluded.

Now that leaves little room for any more speculation. It seems this new incarnation of the beloved diva is not one that puts up with any non sense and is willing to step up and take the mic if necessary.

Mammootty is back with a mass entertainer for his fans with his upcoming flick Rajadhi Raja which starts shooting today – on June 9. The movie, which will star Mammukka opposite Raai Lakshmi (formerly known as Lakshmi Rai) as the leads, is being directed by Ajay Vasudev, a debutant director.

The plot revolves around Sekharan Kutty (Mammootty) who is a petrol pump manager and also a restaurant owner. Radha (Raai) is his wife, and they have one daughter, Durga. The story basically is about these three and the events that happen in their lives. Supposedly, the movie has all the right mix of ingredients to be a complete entertainer though it is, at its core, a family movie.

Now, Raai Lakshmi, who changed her name quite recently, has acted opposite Mammootty in two major Malayalam films before – Chattambinadu and Annan Thampi – both of which went on to become relative successes commercially. Both flicks had a good flavour of comedy, though the burden on that was mostly on Mammootty and the veteran comedians like Suraj and Salim Kumar, and not on Raai, for the most part.

We will have to see if that formula is repeated again in this one or if like the megastar in both movies, the actress too will step outside her comfort zone in terms of humour or drama. Incidentally, the gorgeous starlet had said that one of the reasons for changing her name was that ‘Lakshmi Rai’ sounded ‘soft’ and simply did not pack enough ‘punch’ as she was doing more action roles now. Funny that her first role after the big re christening would be a family oriented woman’s…

In any case, it has to be admitted that the onscreen chemistry of the starring pair works quite well in terms of the ‘glamour’ quotient.

The film is being produced by M K Nasser under the banner of Goodline Productions and the shooting is set to begin in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.

If you thought that tinsel town couldn’t get any stranger, here’s a news flash – it just did! The stunning and sultry actress Lakshmi Rai, who had made quite a ‘name’ for herself in the business and among the fans, has decided that it’s high time that she change that name – to Raai Lakshmi!!

Yes, the gorgeous actress feels that the shuffling of the words makes a strong enough statement and now makes up for the ‘punch’, she feels, the previous name lacked! Apparently, she also feels that the name Lakshmi sounded too soft for her personality and now that she’s doing more action roles, the change had to be made.

‘Raai’ also says people never called her Lakshmi anyway – it always used to be either Rai or Laksmi Rai – and so, even her father had been suggesting that she choose a name more suited to her real self.

The starlet admits that she had been meaning to do it for over a year now, but couldn’t because of prior commitments and she couldn’t get it done when she was younger, because her family moved around a lot and school documentation and official names became an issue.

Whatever the case, from now onwards, she is to be credited in her films as Raai Lakshmi – and by the way, the extra ‘a’ in the first name is just for that added ‘oomph’!
