According to reports, Sai Pallavi is all set to star in director Vijay’s Karu which deals with the sensitive topic of abortion. The first Tamil film of her young career, it is touted to be a female-centric horror-drama and could serve as a perfect platform for Sai Pallavi to add a new dimension to her career

Talking about the decision to cast Sai Pallavi, Vijay said that he really liked her performance in Premam and added that she has done a lovely job in Karu.

He said that, “Right from the beginning, I was very confident that Sai would be able to pull it off. I watched Premam as well as Kali. I loved her performance in both. She was very impressive in the latter. She has done a wonderful job in Karu.It is an intense subject and focuses on the bond between a mother and her four-year-old daughter. Sai Pallavi essays the mother. I was very happy when she came forward to dub. This will enhance her role multiple times.”

The director went on to add that he asked Sai Pallavi to dub her voice and not rely on a dubbing artiste as it is going to up the recall value of her performance in a big way.

Unlike most actors of today who come into the industry either by somebody’s influence or the family, this newcomer stands out. Making his debut into the Telugu film industry with Premam, actor Teja Govind will now be seen in a negative role in the movie Jaya Janaki Nayaka.

The movie starts Bellamkonda Srinivas and Rakul Preet Singh and is directed by directed by Boyapati Srinu. Most other actors enter the industry with dreams of becoming a hero. But Teja Govind is a tad bit different.

He aspires to become a villain because as per his claims, that is what he is good at. The most commendable aspect of Teja is that he came into the industry all by himself and if he does reach heights in his career that will be only because of his hard work.

It is known to all that Boyapati Srinu always portrays a negative character in his film in a very macho way. We have seen how he portrayed Aadhi Pinisetty as the villain in Sarrainodu, whom we all fell in love with.

After announcing that he has been in serious relationship with actress Samantha for a long time and their decision of entering into wedlock next year, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni seems to be hinting the same in his new film Premam.

When a friend asks why Chaitu loves his first crush Suma, he says that his astrologer told him that he would marry the girl whose name starts with S letter. After this failed love story, he loves another girl in college whose name also starts with S, Sithara. The name of his third and final lover also starts with S, Sindhu. Although Chaitu was hinting the three on-screen ladies in his life, the real intention of makers seem to make audience correlate the S letter with Chaitu’s real life partner Samantha, whose name also starts with S.

To draw this analogy, makers cleverly selected the names of all three girls with S.

Story

Vikram Vaatsalya (Naga Chaitanya) is a guy who loves Suma (Anupama Parameswaran) in his teenage and it is a failure love story. It doesn’t get in place how hard he try to make so. In his later age after five years, he again loves Sithara Venkateshan (Shruthi Hassan) who is half Tamil and half Marathi. She is a lecturer in the college where he studies. It also fails due to certain circumstances and he leaves her after she is happily married. He then meets with Sindhu (Madonna Sebastian) in his restaurant. He is her childhood crush and he finally marries her. How these love stories happen and fall apart forms the rest of the story.

Cast and Performance

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni is terrific in all the three shades and stages of his character. He loved in his role and made audience connect with him easily. Hardwork he put into to fit into the shoes of his character can be felt easily on screen. Anupama Parameswaran is superb and is beautiful. Shruthi Hassan as Sithara is good and she did a fine job. Madonna Sebastian is superb and looks gorgeous. Brahmaji and Narra Srinivas are fine. Praveen, Harsha, Chaitanya are good. Venkatesh rocked in his cameo. Arvind Krishna is good in his very limited role. Srinivas Reddy is funny. All others are upto their roles.

Writing Department

Story of Premam is simple but it narrates the life cycle of a guy and his love stories at various levels of his life. Screenplay is good and dialogues are nice and interesting in some sequences.

Technical Departments

Songs have been carried from original Premam to this Telugu version which were composed by Rajesh Murugesan. They are nice and well composed and rendered. Background score and other two songs composed by Gopi Sunder are nice. Cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni is nice amd visuals are treat to watch. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is nice. They follwed the same original editing pattern. Stunts choreographed by Anl Arasu are nice. Production values are rich and superb.

Obviously when remaking a most talked and seen movie requires a lot of hard work and homework. It is not easy to get the originality to the remade versions. Many trolls comes up in social media from the lovers of original movie. Premam is no exception for this and it already had seen many memes trolling the team on social media. The team had put in a lot of hardwork in making this workout well in all the ways possible. Comparison of it with the original one is wrong but it copes up without reason. Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Director Chandoo Mondeti and team made this Premam in their own set of limitations and boundaries of nativity. They are successful mostly when we don’t compare it with the original one but a let down when we see it comparing to the original Premam. To sum up, this Premam is not for the original Premam lovers.

The Dussehra season has finally kick-started. The film releases formed a line, and here we arrive to the biggest Friday of the season. There are almost four films that are releasing on this Friday indicating the start of Dasara season officially. There are four releases like Premam, Eedu Gold Ehe, Abhinetri and Mana Voori Ramayanam hitting the theatres.

Premam is the film that is carrying a lot of expectations from everyone. The film unit expected this from the beginning. Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Madonna and Anupama played the lead roles in the film. On the other side, Sunil’s Eedu Gold Ehe is also coming in the race to test the luck. Abhinetri is a trilingual and tipped to be an horror drama. The trailer and other promos failed to create an interest in the film. Mana Voori Ramayanam is a bilingual from Prakash Raj. The same is the case here too. Poor promotions and less buzz killed the interest on the film. The upper hand at the box office would certainly rest with Premam as per initial expectations. Chaitu is already busy giving interviews to several channels and media houses. Every new poster that is being unveiled by the makers is raising the curiosity on the film. In the latest poster, Chaitu and his friends gang is seen sporting white & white attire. It seems like they were getting ready do something special. Just a few days before Nagarjuna’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ released, Nag, Chaitu & Akhil were seen sporting similar white lungis. Before the release of ‘Srimanthudu’, a promo was released in which Mahesh Babu was also seen sporting lungi. If lungi sentiment works out, Premam will also be a blockbuster.

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni has teamed up with director Chandoo Mondeti for the official remake of Malayalm super hit film Premam. In original Premam had Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallai, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles.

The remake is being produced by Sitara Entertainments banner. Chay plays the lead. Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran, and Madonna Sebastian plays the heroines in the film. The sources reveal that the audio album launch event is going to be held on 24th of this month at Hyderabad.

The film release is also confirmed for 9th of September. Venkatesh has played a special cameo role in the movie. Karthik Ghattamaneni is the cinematographer of the film. Rajesh Murageshan and Gopi Sunder composed the music for the film.

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni’s films have the notorious habit of getting postponed several times before hitting screens.

Chaitu’s much awaited romantic drama ‘Premam’ was earlier slated to hit screens in August. However, the latest reports suggest that the film will hit screens only in September. Makers took this decision to avoid the hectic July and August months.
