According to reports, Sai Pallavi is all set to star in director Vijay’s Karu which deals with the sensitive topic of abortion. The first Tamil film of her young career, it is touted to be a female-centric horror-drama and could serve as a perfect platform for Sai Pallavi to add a new dimension to her career
Talking about the decision to cast Sai Pallavi, Vijay said that he really liked her performance in Premam and added that she has done a lovely job in Karu.
He said that, “Right from the beginning, I was very confident that Sai would be able to pull it off. I watched Premam as well as Kali. I loved her performance in both. She was very impressive in the latter. She has done a wonderful job in Karu.It is an intense subject and focuses on the bond between a mother and her four-year-old daughter. Sai Pallavi essays the mother. I was very happy when she came forward to dub. This will enhance her role multiple times.”
The director went on to add that he asked Sai Pallavi to dub her voice and not rely on a dubbing artiste as it is going to up the recall value of her performance in a big way.
