NTR Kathanayakudu is the first part of NTR biopic that failed miserably at the box-office. The film was supposed to become a massive hit at the box-office but unfortunately, the movie failed. The buyers of the movie demanded the compensation from the producers and there was a rumor that the makers decided to sell the second part of the film for free of cost to all the buyers.

Despite huge losses, the makers of NTR biopic settled a refund of 25 percentage to all the buyers and sold the rights of the second part of the film to Suresh Movies who will release the film in a grand manner on 22nd of February.
Directed by Krish, the film is jointly produced by Sai Korrapati, Balakrishna Nandamuri and Vishnu Induri.
Amazon Prime has turned a boon and bane for the film’s producers at a time. The producers get huge revenue on the digital rights and sometimes when the film is doing well in the theatres, the Prime will stream the movie online. Now, it is the time for Prime to bring in two Telugu films on their site. Both the films released during Sankranthi.

Amazon Prime informed one of the users on Twitter yesterday about the release dates of both the movies on Prime. NTR Kathanayakudu, the first part of NTR biopic is going to be streamed on prime from tomorrow ie., February 8th.
At the same time, the Sankranthi blockbuster Fun & Frustration is also going to appear on Prime from 11th of this month.
It was already known that director Teja was supposed to direct the biopic of NTR initially. Even the film was launched when he was the leader. But eventually, due to some creative differences, Teja had to move out and Krish took over the project from him and directed the entire two parts of the film.

But, sadly, the film’s first part Kathanayakudu flopped big time by incurring heavy losses to the distributors. On the flip side, Teja made a film with Bellamkonda Sreenivas titled Seeta, whose first look was out a few days back. During the press meet of Seeta, Teja was asked about NTR.
Reacting to it, Teja said that he is yet to watch the film and can’t make any comments without watching it. Responding to the claims that there is not enough emotional drama in the film, Teja said that it all depends on the director and how well he handles the subject. Meanwhile, Seeta is slated to release in summer.
Amid high expectations, the first part of NTR biopic ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ has finally made it into the silver screens on January 9th, 2019. The movie opened with a mixed response from the audience.

Keeping the critic’s reviews aside, the movie did a massive pre-release business of 70 crores. But the film has failed to reach the break-even point. The collections of the movie at the box office are not at all satisfactory. Co-producer of the movie Sai Korrapati has opted for his own release in Vizag, Ceeded, Krishna and Karnataka areas. However, he is disappointed with the collections. He is currently worried about the recovery of the investments he made just like the distributors in the other areas. Despite having a good word of mouth, the movie failed to rake decent collections.
However, the poor collections of the movie are also affecting the expectations on ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ which is the second part of NTR biopic that is slated to get released on February 14th.
Balakrishna Nandamuri played the lead and title role in the film NTR Kathanayakudu. The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and it is also produced by Balakrishna Nandamuri, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati. Even though the film opened to a positive talk, the collections of the movie are pretty much disappointing. There is a huge decline in the collections of the movie with each passing day.

The distributors are fearing of the same as it would end them up in losses. They have approached the makers informing the same. Balakrishna too understood the situation of the distributors and has immediately taken a decision to give the rights of Mahanayakudu for the same distributors for free of cost.
Even though it was not confirmed officially, the makers are going to do the same. The second part of the film is releasing on 7th of next month.

NTR Kathanayakudu collected almost 7 and a half crores on the first day and considering the holidays season, the makers expected that the film will pick up but unfortunately, the movie collapsed in an unexpected manner. On the second day, the film managed to collect only 1.14 crores which came as a big disappointment for the makers. The fans were also did not expect this drastic fall in the film’s collections.
