118 starring Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Shalini Pandey, and Nivetha Thomas is the film in the discussions now. Directed by the ace cinematographer KV Guhan, the movie was produced by Mahesh Koneru.

Tipped to be a mystery thriller, the film’s theatrical trailer opened to positive reviews from one and all. The audiences liked the trailer and were waiting for the movie now. The film unit is happy with this response and also released the jukebox yesterday.

Now, the pre-release event is going to take place today evening in Hyderabad and Balakrishna Nandamuri will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Earlier, he attended an event related to Tarak’s Aravinda Sametha and this time, he is going to extend his blessings to Kalyan Ram for the new movie 118.

Jr NTR is also expected to make his presence at the event.

The year 2019 opened on a dull note for Telugu film industry. Out of four big-budget films that were released in the month of January, only one emerged as a blockbuster. Rest three ended up as a disaster, not even ending up as an average fare. In February, there are no notable releases at all barring Yatra.

So, all eyes are now on the month of March. On the first day itself, two big films are locking their horns at the box office. One of them is Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s 118 and the other is Allu Sirish’s ABCD. Both the heroes, who come from big families, are struggling to deliver a hit since past few years.

Sirish came up with Okka Kshanam way back in 2017 which ended up as a box office failure. Kalyan Ram, even though came up with two films last year, both ended up as disasters. Currently, not only both of them but the entire industry is praying the films to become successful at the box office.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram whose previous outing ‘Naa Nuvve’ ended up as a debacle at the box office is now in need of a decent hit to revive his career. His upcoming movie ‘118’ under the direction of cinematographer KV Guhan is making the right noises.

The interesting numeric title itself has grabbed the attention of the audience and now the makers unveiled the teaser of the film. The 49 seconds video gave us a good glimpse at the Nandamuri hero who is sporting a different kind of look in this film. The teaser video hinted that ‘118’ is something related to time 1:18. The music by Shekhar Chandra is undoubtedly an asset for this film. His outstanding music made the teaser even more intriguing. The chemistry between Shalini and Kalyan Ram is also cute and impressive. The grand visuals also gave positive vibes for the audience and the teaser has promised a racy thriller.

Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas played the female leads in the movie. Mahesh S Koneru under East Coast productions banner bankrolled this project. The movie is slated to hit the screens in January 2019.

KV Guhan, the cinematographer turned director is busy with his Telugu project titled as 118. Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas are playing the leads in the film. The makers are busy with the final stages of the shoot and at the same time, the post-production works are also in full swing.

Kalyan Ram who scored a flop with Naa Nuvve is more careful about his career now. He is said to be happy with the film’s output so far. The makers came up with an announcement today where they announced that the film’s teaser will be out tomorrow (December 18th) at 10.30 am in the morning.

A poster confirming the same was also released by the film unit. The film is gearing up for a grand release on February 21 , 2019.

On the other side, he has now come forward to donate money for the flood relief works of Titli cyclone in Andhra Pradesh state.

The official spokesperson of Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram tweeted the information on Twitter. He wrote, “Let us all help out our fellow Telugu people in Srikakulam and Vijayanagaram districts, who have been severely affected by #CycloneTitli. NTR @tarak9999 and Kalyan Ram @NANDAMURIKALYAN have announced 15 Lakh Rupees and 5 Lakh Rupees respectively, towards @AndhraPradeshCM ‘s Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of cyclone Titli victims in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.”

On the work front, Kalyan Ram is busy shooting for his next film directed by KV Guhan.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently busy shooting for a multistarrer in the direction of Sriram Adithya. Nani is seen in the other lead role of the film. Nagarjuna has not signed any new film but the buzz states that he will give a green signal for another interesting project which is also a multistarrer.

Kalyan Ram Nandamuri signed a multistarrer in the direction of Pawan Sadineni who earlier directed the films Savitri and Prema Ishq Kaadhal. Kalyan Ram wanted to cast a star hero for this film alongside him. Earlier, it was rumored that Hari Krishna will act in the movie but it is not happening now. Kalyan Ram wants Nagarjuna to be on board for the project and the discussions for the same started.

Kalyan Ram will produce the movie under NTR Arts banner.

Senior comedian Brahmanandam started his promotional campaign for his next film MLA on social media. Starring Nandamuri Kalyanram and Kajal Aggarwal, the film will hit the screens on March 23.

As part of promotions, Brahmi posted a video on Facebook. He said that the MLA is a cool party for fans in summer. On the other hand, Brahmi pic with his grandson while playing goes viral on the internet.

Going by the trailer, we have come to know that the film has got a routine story but it was presented in a commercial formulaic manner. There are action, comedy, and romance in equal parts. As per reports, Kalyan Ram while shooting for an action episode injured himself and sustained minor injuries. The doctors asked Kalyanram to take rest but Kalyan Ram decided to shoot for the film.

Now after months Kalyan Ram has been suffering for the old injury for his elbow. Kalyanram has been asked to take complete rest for a month to recover completely and Kalyanram too decided to take rest.

He wrapped up the shoot of MLA and Na Nuvve recently and will be on a break. Kalyanram pinned all his hopes on MLA which is hitting the screens on March 23rd.
