Khiladi Akshay Kumar has finally accepted to do the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Kaththi.’

Kaththi, which featured Vijay in a dual role, was directed by A.R.Murugadoss. This film was released in 2014 became a sensation for the content and direction that he held.

As per the film, Vijay plays the roles of Kathiresan and Jeevanantham (dual role) who fights against the mighty corporate companies who grab villagers land. Neil Nitin Mukesh played the antagonist character in this film while Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen as Vijay’s love interest.

The Hindi remake that features Akshay Kumar in a dual role, will be directed by debutant Jagan. Lyca Productions and A.R. Murugadoss jointly will produce this film. It is still to be known whether Neil Nitin Mukesh will stay as the villain in the Hindi version.

Akshay Kumar, earlier too made Vijay’s super hit ‘Tupakki’ as ‘Holiday’ in Hindi. The original and remake were both directed by Murugadoss.

Kaththi remake will go onto sets from April 2016. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar will be seen ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Rustom’

Days are passing, but there is no announcement from Mega camp about megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film. It was rumored in the recent times that Vijay’s “Kaththi” remake will be Chiru’s 150th film.

Ram Charan has acquired the remake rights as well. However, after looking at the response of ‘Bruce Lee’, Chiranjeevi has heard to have decided to not remake “Kaththi”. Instead, Megastar has decided to make the film with Varun Tej in lead role. Chiru feels that Varun will be the perfect one to portray the role of a young man who decides to fight against the system.

Earlier Pawan Kalyan and NTR have rejected this film. An official announcement is yet to be made about the lead actor.

All Megastar fans are eagerly waiting for Chiranjeevi’s 150th film and Ram Charan, who is the producer for Chiru’s 150th movie, is currently busy in USA.

Megastar Chiranjeevi seems to have preferred remake to make his comeback as he couldn’t find any subject that is entertaining at the same time having an underlying social message. As per the buzz in film circles, Telugu remake of Tamil hit ‘Kaththi’ will be the comeback film of Megastar.

Tagore Madhu, who produced Chiranjeevi’s ‘Tagore’, has obtained the Telugu rights of ‘Kaththi’ and he will produce the remake in association with mega power star Ram Charan. ‘Tagore’ director VV Vinayak will wield the megaphone for this prestigious film having story and screenplay by AR Murugadoss.

Pawan Kalyan and Jr NTR have earlier rejected to do ‘Kaththi’ remake as the stars hesitated due to political reasons and their association with the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

According sources, the official announcement will be made on the audio launch event of Bruce Lee, which will be held today evening at Hitex convention in Hyderabad.
