Karthik Subbaraj is one of the top directors in Kollywood film industry now. His last film with Super Star Rajinikanth has become a big hit at the box office. Titled as Petta, the movie has brought the vintage Rajini back to the screen and fans enjoyed it thoroughly.

On the other side, Dhanush is now busy with a series of projects and he is planning to revive his project with Karthik. He was supposed to direct Dhanush long back but things did not shape up well as Dhanush got busy with other commitments.

Now, the actor and director have decided to come up with the film and it might begin from the month of June. Y Not Studios is the production house that will bankroll the project.

On the other side, Dhanush’s Ennai Nooki Paayum Thota is scheduled for a grand release soon.

The title and motion poster of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 165th movie is finally out now. The movie titled as PETTA and here is Rajini’s first look motion poster from PETTA.

The first schedule of the film already started in Dehradun. Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj’s film will be released in 2019 and expectations are high on this movie.The action sequences have been choreography by Peter Heins.

The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi,Trisha, Simran and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in other lead roles. The film is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Anirudh is composing music.

Karthik Subbaraj who rose to fame with his films Pizza and Jigarthanda has announced that his next will be titled, Mercury. He has been working on films that are critically acclaimed and provoke audience to think about a lot of things.

He doesn’t just churn out popcorn entertainment film and is considered to be one of the best directors in the younger lot. Mercury will be a silent film, meaning, there will be no dialogues. It is going to be a thriller, in which Prabhu Deva will be playing the antagonist. Music, which is one of the most important aspects of any silent film, will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

At the launch of the film, the director had also explained that the story revolves around college students and for the first time, Prabhu Deva will be playing the bad guy. The film will be produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s production banner Stone Bench Films & Originals. Other than Prabhu Deva, Sanan, Ramya, Nambhishan also stars in the film.

Acclaimed young director Karthik Subbaraj, who has directed movies like ‘Pizza’ and ‘Jigarthanda,’ has been facing heat from a section of Tamil film producers ever since his latest directorial ‘Iraivi’ has hit screens.

Starring SJ Surya, Vijay Sethupathi, Anjali and Bobby Simha in lead roles, ‘Iraivi’ is produced by Gnanvel Raja and CV Kumar. Ever since the release, the film has sparked a huge controversy in Tamil Nadu with few film producers opining that certain scenes in the movie are demeaning them.

The producers have approached Producers Council in this matter. In the meeting conducted yesterday, few producers demanded Karthik Subbaraj to be banned from directing films. However, the Council stated that it can’t ban a director so the issue has been taken to the notice of Directors Council.

It has to be seen what the Directors Council has to say about this controversy.

Some combinations really gives us kick. One such combination which is teaming up soon is of Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj. Karthik Subbaraj, the young short filmmaker, turned Feature Filmmaker who already impressed all with his film Pizza is all set to direct Dhanush now. After making Pizza, the young director also teamed up with Siddarth for the critically acclaimed film Jigarthanda. Officially, Dhanush himself revealed the news on his Twitter profile. The news made the movie lovers very happy. When a talented actor like Dhanush meets the talented director like Karthik Subbaraj, the output will be extraordinary.

“Glad to announce that I’m doing my new film with the very talented Karthik Subburaj. Shoot in September. God bless,” the actor tweeted on Saturday night. The director tweeted, “My next film after #Iraivi is with @dhanushkraja …. Very happy!! :)” The director has recently finished the film Iraivi which stars Anjali, Vijay Sethupathi, S.J. Surya and Bobby Simha and others in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Dhanush has a line-up of projects. which includes Solomon’s Thodari, R. S. Durai Senthilkumar’s Kodi, Gautham Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Marjane Satrapi’s The Fakir.
