It was earlier known to all that Actor cum producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has started a project with creative director Puri Jagannadh. This yet to be titled film’s shooting is currently taking place in Hyderabad. Former Miss India Aditi Arya has been roped to share the screen space with Kalyan Ram. In the movie, Kalyan Ram plays a news reporter role, and his character name is Balakrishna. The name Balakrishna is being used to attract Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans, and hence makers are planning to title this film as “Reporter Balakrishna.”

An official confirmation will be out in the evening, 4th July on the eve of Kalyan Ram’s birthday which falls on 5th July. The first look of the film too will be unveiled the same day. Kalyan Ram is producing this movie under his home banner N.T.R. Arts. The movie is expected to release in the last week of December on the occasion of Christmas.

Director Anil Ravipudi’s debut film ‘Patas’ has been a very big hit. The director has also got so many awards for his debut success. The director has given a big break for Kalyan Ram in his career. Soon after that, the director teamed up with Sai Dharam Tej for the film Supreme and now looks like the director is going to team up with Kalyan Ram again. Dashing director Puri Jagannadh has launched his next starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

The launch ceremony took place in Ramanaidu Studios and it was graced by Nandamuri Hari Krishna, Rama Krishna, NTR and director Koratala Shiva. The film will be produced by Kalyan Ram on NTR Arts banner.

Moments after the film’s launch ceremony, Kalyan Ram took to Twitter to thank Koratala Shiva and his family members for attending the event. Regular shooting will start in May and the film is slated for release for Dussara festival.

Last time, Pawan Kalyan had played a reporter in Puri’s Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu.The cast and crew are yet to be finalized for this film. Kalyan Ram hopes that the movie turns out a big hit like Pataas to boost his career.

Latest reports suggest that Puri Jagannath has now convinced Nandamuri Kalyan Ram to play the role of a journalist in his next movie. In fact, Puri wanted to do this movie with Pawan but as he got busy with politics and limited movies, Puri decided to rope in Kalyan Ram instead.

The film will be produced by Kalyan Ram himself on his NTR Arts banner.One could expect satires on media and politics from Puri Jagannath in this film. The question is how controversial this film will be especially when ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ invited the wrath of Telangana people and TDP members back then?

Sher Movie Review: How many movies does it take for an actor to realize that being a ‘hero’ is not cup of his tea? Kalyan Ram is one such enthusiastic but charmless star-son who tries hard to deliver something but nothing really works. The choice of his scripts so far barring a couple of them have been completely so-so. His latest film directed by Mallikarjun falls easily into that pile of un-noteworthy films.

Goutham (Kalyan Ram) is a saadha-sedha guy from a family consisting of father, mother and a younger brother who actually look like brother, sister-law and a nephew. Please do not think that the casting of the family was wrong. It was correct. The character who looks inappropriate in that cast was..err. Let’s get into the story. There is Nandini (Sonal Chouhan) , whose legs play a vital role in the film. Her shortest, skimpiest outfits make sure she is made to do a skin-show for each penny that was part of her pay-cheque. Nandini wins a photography contest and to prove that she is an avid photographer, her introduction scene shows her taking endless selfies throughout the day. Nandini is impressed with Goutham’s patriotism when he chases a flying Indian flag paper and rescues the flag paper from falling on the ground. That’s when she decides that HE is the ONE in her life and takes an oath to marry him. Meanwhile Goutham gets into a tiff with a local henchman of a national mafia don (played by Mukesh Rishi). The rest of the film is about how Goutham uses his master-brain to thwart the local and roaming don too.

Sher is a run-of-the-mill story which has absolutely nothing entertaining to offer. This one too has Kalyan Ram being as ineffective as he was in his debut. There are the mandatory clips from the grandfather N.T.R and uncle Balakrishna. There are the complex dance steps which are lackluster. There are those punch dialogues coupled with enlarged eyes trying to portray prosaic anger and aggressiveness. There are actors like Mukesh Rishi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shayaji Shinde in the film who were given such a caricatured roles. There is Rao Ramesh and Rohini who were wasted much more. Sonal was used strictly for the oomph and uninhibited glamour show.

Technically also, there is nothing impressive too. Sarvesh Murari, the DOP who is usually good and a regular in Kalyan Ram’s films contributed to a very ordinary work with some lazily done eagle-view shots. Thaman’s music was bearable but uninteresting. The movie tried to evoke humour at many places but only a couple of scenes worked. All the comedians were cast in their typical roles.Thagubothu Ramesh played the Thagubothu for the 1478th time. Brahmanandam plays the lewd guy eyeing the heroine and so on.

On the whole, Sher absolutely is a waste of efforts in all aspects.

Watch ‘Sher’ if you don’t ‘care’ (about your money and time).

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, whose upcoming movie ‘Sher’ is set to hit screens tomorrow, has given a lengthy interview to media.

He said, ‘Sher will not be a different cinema but a family entertainer that can be enjoyed by everyone. As Pataas was super hit, expectations on this film are high, so we have made modifications to the story. Director Mallikarjun has worked hard for this film, and it must be a hit at least for him.’

‘When I talked emotionally during the audio of Sher, it became a talking point. I am a very emotional person and can’t bear if someone points fingers at my family or tries to separate us’. He added that a film with NTR would happen soon.

Kalyan Ram will be seen in the role of a Civil Engineer in this flick, and actress Sonal Chauhan is pairing with him. Mallikarjun is the director, and this is third time Kalyan Ram and Mallikarjun pairing up for this movie. Earlier they worked for Abhimanyu and Kathi movies.

Sher movie ready to rock the big screens worldwide on October 30th.

NTR’s new film under the direction of Koratala Siva, ‘Janatha Garage’ was recently launched. On the eve, Koratala said that a noted actor will play a key role in the film.

According to sources, Koratala hinted about Hari Krishna. Insiders added that Hari Krishna was supposed to play NTR’s father in ‘Nannaku Prematho’ itself, but the senior actor refused then for reasons better known to him.

After proving his mettle with movies like ‘Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo’, ‘Seethaiah’ etc., Hari Krishna has been away from the silver screen for over a decade now. This time, he has a great chance of acting in ‘Janatha Garage’ along with his elder son Kalyan Ram, who might also play a special role.

Another buzz is that Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal will play an important role in this film, and Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra will pair up with Jr NTR in this flick.

After completion of Nannaku Prematho shooting, this movie will go onto sets.

After “Pataas” Kalyan Ram’s next film is “Sher.” This film is scheduled to release on 30th of this month. Sonal Chauhan is the heroine and directed by Mallikarjun.

In the past Kalyan Ram and Mallikarjun together had done “Abhimanyu” and “Kalyan Ram Kathi.” Though both these film turned out to become huge flops, this time the hero-director are confident that this will erase their bad memories.

Earlier the makers thought of releasing this action entertainer for Dussehra, but since “Rudhramadevi” and “Bruce Lee” were in the Dussehra race, they dropped the idea of releasing. Later “Kanche” and “Raju Gari Gadi” were released and earned a positive talk from the audience and once again the release date of “Sher” was in doubt. Finally, there being no completion at the month end, the makers opted to release the film on 30th.

Though “Kumari 21F” and “Size Zero” should have been releasing on the 30th, they withdrew the idea postponed the films to the next month. With these two films moving to November “Sher” has no completion and will be striking the theatres solo.

Komara Venkatesh produces this film and he is positive that “Sher” will be a successful movie.

“For me my family comes first, then the fans of our family. Nothing is bigger to me than my family. We are always and will be together because there isn’t any clash or such thing between us. Tarak and I respect our uncle as much we respect our father” said Kalyan Ram.

Agreeing with him was Jr.NTR, who was also present during the audio launch.

With Kalyan Ram’s clarification over his uncle to fans, Tollywood felt that Ram handled fans better than Nagababu.
