Suriya Siva Kumar and Jyothika are considered to be the hit pair in Kollywood film industry. They fell in love with each other and took their relationship to the marriage stage. Post marriage, Jyothika put a pause to her acting career and she only resumed it some years back.

If the buzz in the Kollywood filmnagar is believed to be true, Guatham Vasudev Menen is said to be planning to come up with the sequel of his blockbuster 2003 Tamil cop story ‘Kaakha Kaakha’. Gautham Menen who is on the verge of completion of the pending projects might begin the script work for the project.

Now an interesting film is going to come on him and which would be the remake of the Malayalam film Mohanlal. The Malayalam film is about the female fan of Mohanlal.

The same film is going to be made in Tamil with Jyothika playing the lead role. The film will be about the life of a Rajnikanth fan. The Malayalam version has Manju Warrier, Indrajith, Siddiqui, and Saleem in the lead roles. Sajith is the director of the film. The film is a fun-filled message oriented movie.

The script work for the Tamil version is currently in progress and Jyothika is all excited to be seen as Rajnikanth’s fan in the film. She has earlier acted with Rajnikanth in the film Chandramukhi and it is good to see how the film is going to shape up.

The Hindu Makkal Katchi – Thamizhagam has filed a complaint against national award-winning filmmaker Bala’s Naachiyaar that hit the screens on Friday alleging that it hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.

In his complaint, an office-bearer of the association, Kalikumar, said, “There is a dialogue by Jyothika in the movie that speaks against Hindu temples. It would lead to a communal clash. Hence, strict action should be initiated against the director of the movie and actress Jyothika.”

Naachiyaar is a psycho-thriller that also features G V Prakash. Music is by Ilayaraja.

Natural Star Nani has been going great guns in his career. The latest update is that Nani will feature in Mani Ratnam’s next film which will start rolling during the end of this year.

Karthi has joined the long list of heroes turning singers. He has sung a song for the first time in ‘Magalir Mattum’ produced by his elder brother Suriya and the film has Suriya’s wife Jyothika in the lead role.

With the audio release that took place recently, it has been revealed that Karthi has rendered his voice for the song starting ‘Gubu Gubu Gubu’ composed by music director Ghibran and written by Viveka.

Interestingly Karthi is not the only actor included in the track list as a singer. Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan who have acted in important roles in the film along with Jyothika have rendered their voices in other songs of the film.

Magalir Mattum is Jyothika’s second film after she made her second innings with 36 Vayudhinile. The actress is very confident of the film’s success and the audio launch event held yesterday in Chennai. Speaking at the event, Jyothika made some sensational comments and requests to Tamil film directors.

“When you are writing heroine roles for us, please keep your mother, sister, wife in mind and show us in a good as well as respectful manner. When you are making films with big stars, please show the female leads in a respectful manner. Many won’t give good costumes for the heroines but at least design their characters in an interesting manner. Heroines running after heroes and speaking double meaning dialogues isn’t good to watch out. Sometimes, a bad message might be conveyed to the society especially the youth. I request everyone to take care of this. I thank director Brahma for giving a beautiful role in the film.” Jyothika said.

We have already announced that the director Bala is going to make an interesting film in which Jyothika playing the lead. The director has also roped in young music composer GV Prakash Kumar to play the male lead where he will be seen as a thief. Jyothika plays a cop in the movie. The makers have released the first look posters of the film yesterday and the film was titled as ‘Naachiyar’. In one of the posters, Jo was seen giving a bath to an infant, and in another poster, Jyothika is seen heading for a fight with GV Prakash Kumar. Bala has made some very interesting films so far and this film is expected to be a prestigious one for the lead actors.
