No, the flick is known for being the grand comeback vehicle of Manju Warrier to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus of 14 years.
And now, Jyothika, who too has been absent from the Kollywood scene for the most part since her wedding to Suriya, is making her return to the big screens with this film.
According to reports rolling in, Rosshan Andrrews himself will be directing the Tamil version as well and it will be produced by none other than Jyothika’s husband, superstar Suriya under the banner of his company 2D Entertainment.
How Old Are You touched Malayali movie goers’ hearts with a compelling and refreshing story about a married, working mother in her mid thirties who fights against society’s preconceptions and prejudices regarding older women, to follow her dreams.
While Manju’s indelible performance was one of the reasons this movie was a big hit in Malayalam, one cannot imagine anyone better than Jyothika to tackle the role in Tamil. Both of the lovely ladies are known for their versatile acting abilities as well as mass appeal among the audiences.
