The Hindu Makkal Katchi – Thamizhagam has filed a complaint against national award-winning filmmaker Bala’s Naachiyaar that hit the screens on Friday alleging that it hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.
In his complaint, an office-bearer of the association, Kalikumar, said, “There is a dialogue by Jyothika in the movie that speaks against Hindu temples. It would lead to a communal clash. Hence, strict action should be initiated against the director of the movie and actress Jyothika.”
Naachiyaar is a psycho-thriller that also features G V Prakash. Music is by Ilayaraja.
