A sessions court framed charges against Sooraj Pancholi for allegedly abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide. Judge K D Shirbhate framed charges against the 27-year-old actor under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code, to which he pleaded not guilty.

“Sooraj pleaded innocence, and the examination of witnesses will start from February 14,” his lawyer Prashant Patil said. According to the charge sheet, Jiah Khan, was found hanging at her residence on June 3, 2013, by her mother, Rabiya.

She had left the house of Sooraj Pancholi, where she had been staying for the last two days, in the morning the same day, it said. According to the CBI, Pancholi had “hidden facts and fabricated information” during questioning.

Sooraj Pancholi had refused to undergo polygraph or brain-mapping tests which the agency wanted to conduct to get to the bottom of his alleged role in the incident. The CBI said a three-page note seized by the Mumbai Police, which earlier probed the case, on June 10, 2013, was written by Khan which narrated her “intimate relationship, physical abuse and mental and physical torture” allegedly at the hands of Pancholi which led her to commit suicide.

It said the letter was not signed and even not addressed to Sooraj Pancholi but it incriminated him. In October 2013, Rabiya Khan had moved the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter had been murdered and sought a CBI probe, which was granted.

Jiah Khan allegedly committed suicide as she was found hanging at her Mumbai residence on June 3, 2013. She left behind a note allegedly pointing a finger at Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

The Mumbai police, thereafter, had arrested Sooraj Pancholi on charges of ‘abetment to (Jiah’s) suicide’ and he was later granted bail. The CBI had concurred with Mumbai police that Jiah’s death was a suicide and not a murder. Jiah Khan made her debut with Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachchan and featured in the films such as Ghajini and Housefull.

The sudden death of Jiah Khan has stirred a controversy all over. Now, the latest reports reveal that a British forensic expert reached the conclusion that Jiah Khan’s death wasn’t a case of suicide. The latest reports surfacing in reveal us that the injuries on the face and others are hinting that it could not have been a suicide. The reports also raised a doubt that someone could have hit her strongly.

Indian forensic experts have ruled that the death caused due to suicide but the British forensic reports have ruled it out. Also, it must be recollected that CBI ruled out any possibility of murder in the case. Jiah Khan was in a relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. She was found hanging in her Juhu apartment on June 3rd, 2013. Sooraj Pancholi’s father is not accepting this latest forensic report and calling it as a paid one.

Two years after the death of actress Jiah Khan, chilling details about her abortion were revealed by the CBI in the latest charge sheet. In 2014, Bombay High Court had asked the CBI to investigate whether Jiah’s death was suicide or murder.

The CBI’s charge sheet revealed that when Jiah Khan informed Sooraj that she was four weeks pregnant, he took her to a physician, who prescribed some medicines to terminate the pregnancy. As the medicines didn’t work, the duo approached a gynecologist, who prescribed more effective medicines.

“After taking the medicine, Khan started haemorrhaging and called Pancholi for help. She was in pain and needed immediate medical attention, but Pancholi allegedly asked her to wait and called up the gynecologist for guidance. He was asked to rush Khan to a hospital as the foetus had probably aborted but had not been expelled from the body, which is probably what led to the haemorrhaging the charge sheet said

“Sooraj Pancholi was afraid that if Khan got hospitalized, their relationship would become public knowledge and his career could grind to a halt even before taking off. Sooraj then decided to take matters in his hand rather than risk going to a hospital. He extricated the foetus and disposed of it in the toilet,” the charge sheet alleged.’

Much to the depression of Jiah, Sooraj started avoiding her after this incident.

“The willful conduct of the accused narrated in the note written by the deceased, her intimate relationship, the physical abuse, the mental and physical torture that she experienced, allegedly led the deceased to commit suicide,” the charge sheet concludes.

Sooraj Pancholi and Jiah Khan are the two names that cannot be disassociated in Bollywood. Jiah committed suicide in 2013 was found hanging in her flat. This has raised enough questions about her relation with Jr.Pancholi. Addition to it, a letter was found written by Jiah Khan alleging her boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi for her suicide. This made the police arrest and questioning of Sooraj over his involvement in suicide.

Jiah’s mother-Rabia Amin has recently revealed the letter that was written by her daughter before her suicide. Rabia claims that her daughter didn’t commit suicide but was murdered by Sooraj Pancholi. The letter that Jiah wrote was emotional when read. The 25-year old British-American actress’s death might not after all be a suicide, but a homicide. On Wednesday, the CBI held a probe in the houses of Aditya Pancholi and his son, Suraj Pancholi in connection with Jiah Khan’s death that occurred in June, 2013. Sources reveal that the CBI team had found various documents at the residence of Pancholi’s such as letters and pen drives which are yet to be analyzed.

The search warrant was issued ten months after the Bombay High Court ordered to revoke the case on the plea of Jiah’s mother, Rabia, who firmly believes that Suraj Pancholi is involved in the death of the “Nishabdh” actress. Even though Suraj had been imprisoned with a charge of abetment, Rabia furthered her plea with supporting evidence from independent forensic expert reports that assert plausible chances of murder.

The case was handed over to the CBI since Jiah’s mother wasn’t satisfied with the Mumbai police probe and the CBI was ordered to undertake further investigations if it is determined as homicidal death. The relationship between Suraj Pancholi and Jiah Khan was believed to be under strain which lead to the end of her life.

Adding a new update to the sensational suicide of actress Jiah Khan, High Court instructed the late actor’s mom, Rabbiya Khan to approach the Mumbai Police Commissioner with all her grievances stating that police had earlier ignored forensic evidence crucial to the case of her daughter.

Rabbiya Khan protested that her daughter was murdered and it was not a suicide. Rabbiya also has a potential forensic and medical evidence to indicate the same that will be further probed by a Special Investigation Team or CBI as demanded by the Court.

“You may approach the Police Commissioner with all your grievances and provide whatever evidence you may have in this regard” said Justice Naresh Patil, at a hearing today. The case has been deferred to May 8 until which time police will examine the evidence submitted by the mother.

Polica had already filed a charge sheet in the trial court naming Sooraj Pancholi as the prime accused for abetting the murder of Jiah Khan. The couple was dating till trouble broke in the relationship, hinting that this could have possible killed Jiah someway.

Rabbiya Khan never accepted the fact that her daughter resorted to the desperate measures. She is still confident that Sooraj is the man behind the whole tragedy. Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi is soon to make his debut as an actor in Bollywood. He has been currently let off from the charges due to the lack of potential evidence against him.
