In 2014, there have been speculations that Nagarjuna has been trying a seat for his beloved wife Amala Akkineni, who would stand up in Guntur on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party. When enquired, Nagarajuna thrashed the reports. Now, the sources reveal that Nagarjuna’s close person & board member of MAA channel will be a part of the upcoming elections and YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy is also considering to make him stand for as Member of Parliament. The rumors started because Ali met with YS Jagan in Shamshabad Airport on December 28 last year. Making the rumors true, Ali is all set to enter into the politics after two decades. The latest reports claim that he is going to join YSRCP very soon. It is known that Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra will come to an end in Icchapuram on January 9th. After that a big public meeting is going to take place in Ichapuram and on that stage, Ali is going to join YSRCP in front of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. When popular producer Ramanaidu contested in elections with TDP ticket in 1999, Ali came to the campaigns and promoted the party.

After that, he has never shown interest in politics. But now after nearly two decades, Ali is going to enter politics. Sources claim that he is ready to contest in the elections if the party gives him a ticket.
