Besides being an accomplished actor, Dhanush has turned a lyric writer, singer, and producer as well. As per the latest update, Dhanush has decided to turn a director and he also has announced the film by sharing the first look of it on his official social networking page. The movie has been titled ‘Power Paandi’.

The film will feature Raj Kiran in a lead with Prasanna playing a key role. The regular shoot will start soon. Sean Roldan will score the music. Dhanush himself will produce this film under his Wunderbar Films banner. It is not yet sure if Dhanush acts in this film or not.

Meanwhile, Dhanush’s next outing ‘Thodari’ (‘Rail’ in Telugu) is gearing up for release. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the entire story of the film happens on a running train. Keerthy Suresh is the female lead.

Dhanush also has wrapped up the shoot of his new film ‘Kodi’. He is currently busy shooting for ‘Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta’ in the direction of Gautham Menon.

Some combinations really gives us kick. One such combination which is teaming up soon is of Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj. Karthik Subbaraj, the young short filmmaker, turned Feature Filmmaker who already impressed all with his film Pizza is all set to direct Dhanush now. After making Pizza, the young director also teamed up with Siddarth for the critically acclaimed film Jigarthanda. Officially, Dhanush himself revealed the news on his Twitter profile. The news made the movie lovers very happy. When a talented actor like Dhanush meets the talented director like Karthik Subbaraj, the output will be extraordinary.

“Glad to announce that I’m doing my new film with the very talented Karthik Subburaj. Shoot in September. God bless,” the actor tweeted on Saturday night. The director tweeted, “My next film after #Iraivi is with @dhanushkraja …. Very happy!! :)” The director has recently finished the film Iraivi which stars Anjali, Vijay Sethupathi, S.J. Surya and Bobby Simha and others in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Dhanush has a line-up of projects. which includes Solomon’s Thodari, R. S. Durai Senthilkumar’s Kodi, Gautham Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Marjane Satrapi’s The Fakir.

Dhanush will next be seen in the sequel of blockbuster film ‘VIP’, titled ‘Thanga Magan’. In fact, ‘Thanga Magan’ is the title of superstar Rajinikanth’s film released in 1983 and Dhanush is using it again.

This is the fourth time that Dhanush is using the title of his Rajinikanth. Dhanush earlier used the titles ‘Polladavan’, ‘Mappillaii’ and Padikkadavan’, which were all Rajini’s film titles.

Coming to ‘Thanga Magan’, Vel Raj and Anirudh are back as director and music director. Samantha and Amy Jackson replaced the leading ladies Amala Paul and Surabhi. Yesteryear actress Radhika is playing Dhanush’s mother character.

‘VIP’ was released as ‘Raghuvaran BTech’ in Telugu states and the dubbed film was a big hit.
