Ace Senior Tamil actor insults Dhansika in a press meet

The multi-faceted T Rajendar got into a heated argument with the Kabali girl Dhansika during the press meet event of Vizhithiru.

When TR was given the mike, he had accused Dhansika of missing to talk about him during her speech, “Dhansika forgot this T Rajendar after acting with Superstar in Kabali, she even failed to mention my name in her speech.”

When Dhansika tried to ask Sorry, TR was reluctant and kept going, “There are some basic ethics that you need to follow when you talk on a stage, I will always speak my heart; this is not a controversy, this is the truth. You will have to address everyone who is seated on the stage, that is ethics.”

When Dhansika interrupted and said she had great respect for TR and forgot his name as she was not used to giving a speech on stage, TR said “what am I going to do with your respect? In which market could I sell it?” The argument got ugly and Dhansika eventually broke down to tears.

Dhansika under Mani Ratnam’s direction

Kollywood Actress Dhansika, who was seen in minor roles in few Tamil films, is now aiming big. She saw a change in her luck after accepting the role of Rajinikanth’s daughter in ‘Kabali,’ has once again show that luck is in her favour after she is being finalised in Maniratnam’s next.

This film of Mani Ratnam’s took a lot of twists and turns before having a final shape. After the hit of ‘O Kadhal Kanmani,’ Mani who aimed of making a bilingual with Tollywood actors Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu,  couldn’t do so because of the remuneration issue. Later on Mani opted for Karthi, Dulquer Salman, Nithya Menon and Keerthi Suresh to proceed with the film.

After all he was once again halted because of the lack of dates of Salman and Keerthy. With this Maniratnam was rumoured of dropping this bilingual drama, but to prove this news as a wrong one, the ace director opted for two other actors who will now replace Salmaan and Keerthi.

Maniratnam approached Tollywood actor Nani and Tamil Actress Dhansika. With such huge director approaching them, Nani and Dhansika simple allotted their dates even without discussing their remuneration.

This film will be officially announced sooner.

That’s how Dhansika has once again proved her luck. If ‘Kabali’ and Mani Ratnam’s become a successful venture, then within no time she will be the most talked of heroine in Kollywood.

Samuthirakani, Dhansika and the seasons

Actor/director Samuthirakani is enjoying his view from cloud nine as we speak, for all the praise that has been showered on him for his performance in Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathaari. But to the veteran artist’s credit, he is anything but complacent.

Samuthirakani-Dhansika

He has already moved on to his next project in which he plans to act as well as hold the reins from the director’s chair.
The movie, which is titled Kitna, will be a unique one or at least sounds like it based on the premise.

The entire flick will be split in to four portions – each portion set in one particular season and centred around one particular character. Samuthirakani will play one such character in one of the seasons, though we do not know the details at this point.

Meanwhile, the passionate filmmaker has roped in actress Dhansikaa for another one of the seasons, essentially making her also one of the leads in the film. The rest of the characters and cast are yet to be decided upon.

Sources have reported that Samuthirakani has Amala Paul and Kannada actor Jogi in mind to fill up the two remaining vacancies for leads.

The Amala Paul choice is an interesting one and it is probably the right moment to rope the actress in.

Amala had of course previously declared that post wedding, she would not be taking on any more ‘mass masala’ type projects and will keep her time and efforts reserved for ‘character oriented’ roles. Well, the newlywed is just getting used to this new part of her life and may be Samuthirakani’s project would be just the thing that might get her interested.

It is to be noted that she played the female lead in Dhanush’s VIP, which featured Samuthirakani in a very important supporting role.

Kitna will be a film about the different elements of humanity and the subtle aspects of the human condition. The message buried in the narrative will be a socially relevant one, says Samuthirakani.
