Senior actor Mohan Babu is currently staging a protest against the government of Andhra Pradesh asking for the pending fee reimbursement money that was sanctioned for his Sri Vidyanikethan educational institutions. On the other side, veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao’s daughter-in-law Susheela made comments on Mohan Babu that he did not do proper justice for her while sharing the assets after the director’s demise.
After Dasari’s death, Mohan Babu turned the peace maker for the family members and helped them share the assets among themselves. Dasari’s son Arun Kumar is said to have promised Susheela to solve the disputes in the presence of Mohan Babu but she alleged that Mohan Babu is showing no interest and even Arun Kumar also not taking concern on the issue.
Susheela expressed her anguish that her son Master Dasari Narayana Rao will have to lead a miserable life because of the improper share of the assets within the family members. She wantedly came out on the day Mohan babu stepped out to stage a protest against the government for his students.

Producer Anil said that the demise of Dasari has deeply stuck him personally as Dasari is the best well-wisher of his banner. Anil revealed that Dasari used to watch all the movies of his and encouraged him all the time. He further said that Dasari is the real savior of small and medium films in Telugu Film Industry. To pay his own Tribute, Anil is now dedicating the film Andhagadu to the movie legend Dasari Narayana Rao as his token of gratitude.

Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1942 – May 30 2017) is an film director known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, and few Bollywood films. He has directed about 151films, produced 53 films and worked in more than 250 films as a dialogue writer, and lyricist. Most of his films emphasize social injustice, corruption and gender discrimination.
He has received two National Film Awards, nine state Nandi Awards, and four Filmfare Awards South. Besides graduating with a BA degree, he used to take part in scores of drama competitions. During his career he has also acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages.
He holds Limca World Record for directing the most number of films. He directed films like Tandra Paparayudu, (1986), Surigaadu (1992), screened at International Film Festival of India in the panorama section, and Kante Koothurne Kanu (2000) which received the National Film Award Special Mention Feature Film. In 1983, he directed Meghasandesam which received critical acclaim at the Indian panorama, Chicago, 1983 Cannes Film Festival and Moscow film festivals. The film has also received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu.
Early life
He launched a popular daily newspaper named Udayam to counter the effect of Ramoji Rao’s newspaper Eenadu.
Political career
Dasari was elected to the Rajya Sabha. He became the Minister of state in Ministry of Coal.Said to be a confidante of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Dasari once again became active in politics after Congress Party came back to power in 2004.
On 11 June 2013 Central Bureau of Investigation booked Dasari Narayana Rao for receiving Rs. 2.25 crores from Naveen Jindal in connection with Coalgate scam, and filed FIR against both.
Death
Dasari died on May 30 2017 due to prolonged illness.

Legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao (75) passed away at 7 PM in KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. Dasari Garu has been fighting with illness from the past few months and he recently underwent surgery at the same hospital.
As per the reports provided by producer C Kalyan, Dasari’s dead body will be shifted to his residence in an hour. The last rites of Dasari will be performed tomorrow at Hyderabad.
He directed over 150 films in his entire film career and also he had a successful political stint by serving as the Union Minster for Coal in UPA 1 government. His wife Dasari Padma passed away in the year 2011 and now he is survived by a daughter & two sons.

Senior director Dasari Narayana Rao has been hospitalized today morning. The veteran director has been suffering from serious health issues and also lung related problems. The reports revealed that he has been admitted in the hospital because of an infection developed in the lungs. The director has been taken to KIMS hospital today morning. He was immediately shifted to ICU for a better treatment. A specialist group of doctors is taking care of the senior director now.
The reports from the hospital reveal that his health is under control and there is nothing to worry about. Dasari might be discharged from hospital in a day or two. The director is currently working on the script for the bio pic of Jayalalitha. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Speaking at the audio launch of Telugu dubbed Tamil film ‘Maanja,’ Dasari said that Tamil dubbing films have been invading Telugu market. ‘The Tamil dubbing rights of even the Telugu biggies featuring Mahesh, Pawan, NTR, etc. don’t fetch Rs 50 lakhs, but our Telugu filmmakers invest crores on the Telugu dubbing rights of Tamil films.
While the films of relatively unknown faces pocket around Rs 1 Cr, the films of Tamil stars are bought for more than Rs 20 Cr,’ commented Dasari.
We must admit that Dasari’s comments make sense and Telugu filmmakers should change this practice.
‘Generally, I don’t attend the audio launches of dubbing movies, but I have seen Maanja, and it is a very good film,’ Dasari said.

Veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao announced his verdict that the recently released Telugu film ‘Pelli Choopulu’ is better than ‘Baahubali.’
Speaking at the success meet of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ held on Monday at Ramanaidu studios, Dasari praised the film’s team and said that India would become No 1 in the world if ten films like ‘Pelli Choopulu’ comes out. He praised the simplicity of story, characters, performances and the direction. Senior filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja especially highlighted the performance of heroine Ritu Verma and said that he fell in love with her character.
Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Verma paired up in this urban romantic comedy directed by debutante Tarun Bhaskar. The film has been receiving unanimous reviews and positive word of mouth for flawless content and entertaining screenplay. Youth and family audiences are attracted towards the low budget content rich film.
Veteran actors Kaikala Satyanarayana and Jamuna were felicitated by Movie Artists Association (MAA) at the General Body Meeting held on 12th June.
Veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao presented the awards to both the legends. On the eve, Dasari said that the newly elected MAA members are working very actively compared to the previous bodies. ‘Felicitating the legends of Telugu cinema is a great initiation by the MAA,’ said Dasari.
He added that it is very unfortunate to learn that the government did not confer many legendary Telugu actors and technicians. Padmasri and other awards are being given to people who have done nothing but have the support of the government.
Both Kaikala Satyanarayana and Jamuna thanked the MAA and expressed their happiness for their work getting recognized.
