Siva Balaji filed a police complaint with the cyber-crime wing regarding abusive comments about his wife. The complaint was lodged yesterday in Hyderabad after few users made abusive and harassing comments against his wife on social media platforms. “Following the complaint, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, and a probe is underway,” Siva Balaji said after filing the complaint.
Siva Balaji, the winner of the Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1, previously too had approached the police officials regarding trolls on social media and had urged police officials to take action against abusive pages.
Siva Balaji also said that his wife has received abusive messages on social media platforms and had furnished all the details to the police officials who are investigating the case. The police officials are now on the lookout for the IP address of the comments made on the Facebook posts. This is not the first time that the trolls and abusive users have attacked celebrities on social media. Not many celebs have come forward and filed police complaints and hence police officials could not take any action on these troll and abusive users.
Siva Balaji, an actor and producer in Telugu, had gathered details of all the pages and users on social media who posted abusive and trolling comments and furnished all these details to the cyber-crime officials. This happened after he posted a selfie during the filming of ‘Kaatamarayudu’ on which there were quite a few abusive and harassing comments on the post.
