Rana Daggubati is one of those are contemporary actors who always chooses offbeat subjects and strives to do films which touch stories never tried before. Rana will next be seen in a film titled ‘Haathi Mera Saathi’ which is a tribute to a yesteryear film with the same title starring Rajesh Khanna. The film will be a Telugu-Tamil-Hindi release and will have Rana portray the role of ‘Bandev’ in it.
Rana will also be seen in a period film in which he will be seen playing a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose regiment in 1940s. And also, it was announced yesterday that he would be playing a key role in a Malayalam film on the empire of Travancore and will be seen playing the King.
Rana Daggubati has started shooting of this film which will mark his debut in Malayalam cinema and is titled Marthanda Varma. The film is being directed by K Madhu and will have the actor playing the king of Travancore.
