Bellamkona Srinivas has faced a bitter start to 2019 as his film Sita has bombed badly at the box office. The actor had a lot of hopes on it and thought that it would bring him back to the success track. But things didn’t go as planned. Now, he is testing his luck with a thriller called Rakshasudu.
The film is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Ratchachan. The teaser of the film was dropped a while back and it looks like a scene to scene copy of the original. The film is basically the story of a cop who searches for a psychopath criminal. The film was a raging success in Tamil.
The makers are hoping that it would do well in Telugu as well. Rakshasudu is directed by Ramesh Varma of Ride and Veera fame. It stars Anupama Parameshwaran as the heroine. It is slated to release across the world on July 18.
