Director Mahi V Raghav entered into the industry with the film Paathshala. later, he scored a decent hit with horror comedy Aanandho Brahma. Now, he came up with his new film, Yatra, which is based on the life of the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, late YS Rajashekhar Reddy.
Meanwhile, few reports are coming in past few days saying that Mahi did this film expecting an MLA ticket to contest in general elections. It was also said that Jagan promised him to offer on from his party YSRCP. But Mahi quashed them as mere rumors and said that he has no such plans.
Speaking in a recent interview, he said, ” I have no hidden intentions behind making this film. I won’t contest in elections and moreover, I have citizenship of New Zealand. I don’t have a right to vote here as well. Why would I do a film for MLA ticket, if I don’t have the right to vote.” Mahi said that currently he will take a break and start working on his next project after a few months.
