Cyclone Vardah which hit Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh recently has created havoc in the Tamil-speaking state. The shooting of several films had to be stalled with the Rain God showing his fury.
Reportedly, the sets of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming high budget visual spectacle, 2.0, were also destroyed. A few military vans were brought to the sets for the purpose of shoot, and they too got hit by the cyclone. The shoot will resume only after re-erecting these lavish sets. This will eat away the money and time too.
Interim, Shankar is simultaneously concentrating on the visual effects work too. He is determined to complete the shoot by December end or by early January at least to have enough time to incorporate the world class VFX in his ambitious venture. Makers are spending an unbelievable Rs 400 Cr on the making and promotions of ‘2.0.’
