Kollywood actor Ajith Kumar rocked the big screens with Vedalam for this Diwali.
Thala Ajith is considered the king of openings at Kollywood box office. He yet again rewrote the Kollywood records with his latest Diwali release ‘Vedalam’.
The film has opened to positive response and earth-shattering collections. Vedalam collected a staggering 15.8 Crore gross on the first day in Tamil Nadu only, thus marking the highest opening day ever for a Tamil film.
With Vedalam, Ajith has surpassed previous Day One Records set by Rajnikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ with 12.8 Crore and Vijay’s Kaththi’ with 12.5 Crore gross.
The film is also doing extremely well in overseas and other circuits. Fans of Ajith are celebrating the huge success. Directed by Siva, who earlier directed Ajith in ‘Veeram’, the film proved to be another blockbuster for this combo.
Actress Lakshmi Menon played the sister role to Ajith and Shruti Hassan played the female lead in the movie.
