Akhil Akkineni, the second son of Akkineni Nagarjuna, has failed to make an impact in Tollywood. His first film ‘Akhil,’ ended as a dud at the box office. However, now Akhil’s second film has been confirmed in the direction of Manam fame, Vikram Kumar.

A source close to the unit revealed that Vikram is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a huge success. The source further added that as per the story, the hero belongs to Hindu’s family and heroine belongs to Muslim’s family. They both get married and fall in love with each other.

An interval twist has been designed very innovatively. The parents of hero and heroine come to know that the hero and heroine are cousins, and they are relatives.

Well, the storyline is skyrocketing the expectations beyond the film. Let us wait and see how Vikram will mesmerize the audience with his interesting family drama.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun, who has delivered fourth consecutive Rs 50 Cr movie with ‘Sarrainodu’, will do his next film in the direction of Vikram Kumar of ‘Manam’ and ‘24’ fame.

After the release of ’24’, Vikram will work on the script which was already green signaled by AlluArjun. It is going to another experimental film for Vikram and one of its kind for Bunny. Vikram Kumar has already impressed with films like ‘Ishq’ and ‘Manam’. He is expected to do the magic again with Suriya’s ‘24.’ This combo project will go on floors in November.

But, before Vikram Kumar’s film, Allu Arjun will work with Tamil director Lingusamy for an action entertainer. Allu Arvind will produce the movie on Geetha Arts banner. Amy Jackson is in talks to play the leading lady.

Acclaimed Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who won the National Film Award this year for his magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani, ’, is reportedly planning to remake classic Telugu film ‘Manam’.

Director Vikram Kumar, who has made a stunning film like ‘Manam’ with the three generations of Akkineni heroes, has revealed that while he was shooting Suriya’s ‘24’ in Mumbai, he met Bhansali and discussed about possible remake of ‘Manam’. Nothing is finalized yet.

Incidentally, Vikram Kumar had earlier tried to remake ‘Manam’ in Tamil with Suriya, Karthi and their father Sivakumar but Suriya liked the story of ‘24’ than ‘Manam’. Hence ‘24’ went on floors first. Still, there is a possibility of ‘Manam’ being made in Tamil with Suriya’s family.

Meanwhile Bhansali is making plans to produce the Hindi remake of ‘Manam’ with Vikram Kumar directing it. Choosing a perfect cast would a tough task though.

Stylish star Allu Arjun will next be seen in the action entertainer ‘Sarrainodu’, which is set to hit screens worldwide on April 22.

There is so much confusion about Bunny’s next film after this movie. Even though a film under the direction of Trivikram Sreenivas is under pipeline, reliable sources revealed that Tamil director Lingusamy will direct Bunny’s film, which is expected to go on floors from May.

After this film, Bunny will team up with intelligent director Vikram Kumar, who is well known to Telugu audiences with films like ‘Ishq’ and ‘Manam’. His new film ‘24’ starring Suriya is slated for release in May. After the release of ‘24’, he will get busy with finishing the script, for which Allu Arjun has already given his green signal.

Director Vikram Kumar, Who is well known to Telugu audiences as the man who gave a classic film ‘Manam’ to Akkineni family, has revealed interesting details about his new projects.

He is currently wrapping up Surya starrer ‘24’. While promoting this film, speaking to a media channel, Vikram announced that he is going to direct Super Star Mahesh Babu and stylish star Allu Arjun next.

However, he didn’t give clarity over which project will materialize first.

Mahesh is busy with Srikanth Addala’s Brahmotsavam, and he will next move to Murugadoss’ film. Bunny is busy with Boyapati Srinu’s film, but his next movie is yet to be announced. So, Bunny might be the immediate target of Vikram and few days back it was reported that Bunny has green signaled a single line story narrated by the director.

Brahmotsavam and Sarainodu movies will hit the theaters in summer 2016.

Manju Warrier is definitely the queen of the mountain in Mollywood, but her return to the world of cinema with her smash hit flick How Old Are You, and the crazy attention the movie and she got seems to have crossed state and language barriers!

Yes, there were rumours which spread like wildfire that she would be starring opposite Kollywood star Suriya in one of his upcoming ventures to be directed by Vikram Kumar of Tollywood hit Manam fame. Though initially no one neither denied or confirmed this, now we have word from the people concerned.

Vikram Kumar has denied the rumour that Manju has been cast opposite Suriya but he has not denied the possibility that it may happen still. Confused? Well, the director says only Suriya has been confirmed as the lead star so far and the rest of the cast is yet to be decided upon.

But he did say one thing though – the hit maker stated outright that he was a fan of Manju Warrier and that she is, without a doubt, one of the finest actresses of this generation in Indian cinema!

Wow! Now that’s a compliment.. and one rightfully earned, it has to be said. Vikram also added that he would love to cast her in his film provided the role carried enough weight for her.

Well, the Tamil cinema world may still not be a reality for Manju, but the Malayali audiences will have a treat on their hands soon enough as the Manju Warrier – Mohanlal project to be directed by Sathyan Anthikkad was recently officially announced.

For over a decade and a half, the fans have been waiting for the Universal Star and the actress, who some refer to as the female Mohanlal in terms of her acting abilities, to pair up onscreen and recreate some of that magic which we saw in movies like Aaram Thamburan and Kanmadam.

Soon after the special screening of ‘Manam’, Mahesh declared the “Manam”, the family entertainer, as an outstanding film and congratulated the entire team especially the director Vikram Kumar for his ‘out of the box idea’. He claimed that his heart fills up with joy when such character-driven plots work at the Box Office.

Mahesh was most impressed with the way in which this complex story was narrated on screen.

And now,if rumours are anything to by, Director Vikram Kumarr and Prince Mahesh Babu will soon be working on a project together.

An official confirmation to this piece of news is awaited.

Reportedly. the director had also given a script to Mahesh Babu which he really liked.

And if things go as planned, then the film will be launched sometime next year, after Mahesh Babu finishes his work on Koratala Siva’s movie.

Well, here’s hoping that the film turns out to be as entertaining as “Manam” and Mahesh’s earlier entertainers.

Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for Srrenu Vaitla’s “Aagadu” opposite Tamanna.
