It seems that now the director is planning to come up with a bold film. Sanjay would be directing the biopic of Mumbai based sex worker Gangubai Kothewali, who used to run a brothel house in Kamatipura area. She is also known for having underworld connections. But in the later stages of her life, she fought for the rights of sex workers.

Bhansali found this story interesting enough to be told on the silver screen. Hence, he is now planning to make it as a film. Already, he has registered the tile Gangubai at the IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers Council). The shoot of this film might start next year, claims the Bollywood sources.
