As per latest buzz in Kollywood circles, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 60th flick will be the remake of yesteryear legend MGR’s film ‘Enga Veetu Pillai’, which was released in 1965, five decades ago. MGR had essayed the dual role in that movie.
It is already official that Vijay would act under the direction of Bharathan for his 60th flick starring Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Reportedly, the film is likely to have another lead heroine since Vijay will be playing dual roles.
This untitled film is said to be inspired or copied from MGR’s ‘Enga Veetu Pillai’. The script has said to been modified to suit the audiences of the current generation. However, when asked sources close to the crew, they denied this news as rumor.
Vijay’s 60th film will be produced by Vijaya Productions, which had produced MGR’s Enga Veetu Pillai.
