The much anticipated Tamil film Varmaa has landed in trouble a couple of days back when the producers announced that they are unhappy with the first cut and thus, they will re-shoot the entire film. The film, which is the official remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy, also marks the debut of actor Vikram’s son, Dhruv Vikram.

The makers of the film stated that apart from Dhruv, rest of the entire cast and crew will be changed and the new version will be released by June 2019. The latest we hear from the Kollywood circles is that it is none other than Vikram who is behind shelving this version of the film.

Vikram bought the right of Arjun Reddy right after its release, hoping that it will be a perfect launchpad for his son. He also roped in his best buddy director Bala as the director. but unfortunately, Vikram was highly disappointed with the version Bala made. Thus, he took a call for the re-shoot in order to make this film a successful debut venture for his son at any cost.

Arjun Reddy has become the biggest blockbuster in Telugu film industry. The movie gave the star status for the young hero Vijay Devarakonda. The film unit sold the remake rights of the film in Tamil and Hindi languages for hefty prices. Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram is going to be seen in the lead role. Dhruv is reprising the role of Arjun Reddy (Vijay Devarakonda) but the makers are yet to announce the details of the heroine.

Right now, the regular shooting for the move is happening at a rapid pace in Chennai. The makers are currently shooting the film at Chennai’s Semmozhi Poonga. It is said that the team is currently shooting the climax portions. The lead actor Dhruv confirmed the same on his Instagram profile.

Directed by Bala, the film is produced by Vikram. A formal announcement on the heroine will be out soon.

Rana Daggubati is currently very much busy shooting for his new film 1945. On the other side, the actor has confirmed that he is going to come up with yet another historic film now which is based on the life of the king of Travancore.

The film is going to be made with newcomers, and the makers are happy to bring a film on the life of a great character from the history. The pre-production works are currently in progress.
