There were a lot of rumors that Kannada star hero Upendra was in consideration to play a key role in Mahesh Babu’s next film, to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film will start right away, after the completion of Mahesh’s ongoing project Maharshi.

Interestingly, Anil Ravipudi is said to have met Upendra and narrated the film’s story to him. But, Upendra is said to have politely declined the project. During a recent media interaction in Hyderabad, Upendra has given clarity on the same by confirming that he was approached for the film.

Upendra told that he has apologized the makers that he can not do the project as his dates are occupied for the next few months and there is no way that he can adjust the dates for the movie.

Popular Kannada actor Upendra launched a regional party – Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janata Paksha party with a pledge to bring a complete change in society.

Donning a Khaki uniform Upendra said his party will serve as a platform for any individual who has a dream and hope to serve the people of the state.

Upendra said that his party will contest from all the 224 constituencies in next year’s assembly polls but ruled out entering into a prepoll or post-poll alliance with any other party.

There were some theatrics at the party launch with the media being made to sit on the dias with Upendra stating the forth estate played a major in taking the ideals of KPJP to the people.

Actor Fish Venkat made news this time but not regarding his performance. He is known for his roles alongside Villians played comedy villain in many movies. Now, a case is filed on Fish Venkat for his nuisance when he was drunk. Being a Kothagudem resident, Venkat visits his son-in-law house to check on his daughter. Quite some days, terms are not going so well between Venkat and neighbours.

Vemula Prasad, Upendra, Rajesh lodged a complaint on Fish Venkat for his rude behaviour towards them. So, they filed a complaint in Kothagudem Police Station now. The complaint goes as – “Drunken Fish Venkat has no conscious of his actions who has gone to an extent of Verbal and physical abuse. Fish Venkat had a family, with a daughter and two sons. This type of behaviour from him may defame his image, which is to be taken care of.

Kalpana 3 is the Kannada film that is going to release soon. Upendra, Priyamani and Tulasi played the lead roles of the film. Uday Raj is the director of the film. Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana is releasing the film in Telugu. The film is also getting the dubbed version release in Telugu soon.

Arjun Janya scored the music for the film. The song’s CD has been unveiled by Tamil Nadu ex-Governor Roshaiah. Thummalapalli has said that all the horror films he released in the past have scored a big hit and he expressed the same confidence for the current film as well. Roshaiah also wished the entire team a grand success.

Kannada star heroes Sudeep and Upendra have recently teamed up for an interesting film titled as Mukunda Murari. The film is the official remake of super hit Hindi film Oh My God. Meanwhile, as part of the post release promotions, the makers have now come up with the proposal of auctioning the bullet used by Sudeep in the film. This will be up for sale on November 11. The money earned in the auction will be used for a noble cause.

The bullet will be displayed at Menaka Theatre and will stop at several theaters in Shivamogga, Hubbali, Davangere and Tumakuru. The bullet will be back in Bengaluru at Menaka theatre and will be displayed on November 9 and 10. The auction will take place on November 11. Already few persons came up with their rates for the bike. More details would be out soon.

Chinnari is the title of a Kannada film starring Priyanka, the wife of Kannada star hero Upendra. Baby Yulinee and Aishwarya have played other important roles in the film. Lohith is the director of the film, and K R K Productions has produced the film. The film has been simultaneously made in both Telugu and Kannada languages. Sri Venkateswara Movies is also backing up the project. The makers revealed few interesting updates about the film and said that the film is a horror entertainer.

“The film is tipped to be a horror film. The film has an interesting backdrop set in Goa. The story is targeted on children. The music director of award-winning film Rangitaranga has worked on our project. The top class technicians have worked for our film. We are planning to release the film in the month of November.” revealed the producers of the film.

Kannada super star Upendra is all set to release his dubbed film titled ‘Brahmana’ in Telugu.

The original Kannada film titled ‘Shivam’ was directed by ‘Dandupalayam’ fame Sreenivas. It has already become a super hit at Kannada box office. Hotties Saloni and buxom baby Ragini Dwivedi have essayed the female leads in the entertainer noted for its bold content, saucy actresses and the multiple get ups sported by Upendra.

The Telugu dubbing work has already finished, and makers are looking for a proper date to release the film in the 2 Telugu states. Considering the craze of Upendra in the 2 Telugu states and the recent success of content oriented dubbed film tiled ‘Bichchagadu’ have persuaded the makers to release this movie in Telugu.

Theatrical trailer will be released on 16th July.

Nagarjuna Akkineni’s entertainer ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ not only emerged the winner of Sankranthi 2016 but also became the biggest commercial hit of the senior actor.

The film is now gearing up to be remade in Kannada with Upendra stepping into the shoes of Nagarjuna to play the dual role of Bangarraju and Rambabu. Upendra is currently busy with the shooting of ‘MukundaMurari’, the remake of ‘Gopala Gopala’. After this film, he will start shooting for ‘Soggade’ remake.

Actress Prema, who has acted with Upendra in many successful films, has been roped in to play the role essayed by Ramya Krishna in the original. Prema will be making her comeback to the silver screen after recently taking divorce from her husband.

‘H2O’ fame Loknath will direct this film.

Actor Upendra and his wife Priyanka recently celebrated Holi with their family and friends at their residence and shared couple of pics on the social media. The pics have gone viral and spread like a wildfire on the social networking sites.

Veteran actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Meghana Gaonkar, RJ Shruthi and writer Suyana Suresh was also spotted with Upendra and Priyanka at their residence celebrating the festival of colors.

Meanwhile,on the work front, Upendra is busy with two big films Mukunda Murari, which is the official remake of Hindi film Oh My God, and Kalpana 2, which is the remake of Tamil movie Kanchana 2. Upendra’s wife Priyanka Upendra was last seen in the psychological thriller Priyanka and she is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film Mummy.

Kannada Super Star ‘Kichcha’ Sudeep and versatile actor Upendra will now be the leads in Kannada remake of Hindi super hit OMG- Oh My God.

Upendra will play the role of Paresh Rawal, who sues God for making people believe in him and in response doing nothing. While Sudeep plays the role of Akshay Kumar, who play the role of Lord Krishna.

OMG is a satirical comedy that was inspired by Australian film The Man Who Sued God. Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh played the Telugu remake. The Kannada version will be made jointly by Kichcha Creations, Jayashreedevi Productions and N Kumar Productions. Nanda Kishore, who directed comedy films like ‘Victory’ and ‘Adyaksha’, will direct this remake.

The Original film that was made in Hindi saw an opposing release in some parts of the globe. In UAE ‘OMG’ was banned for the content it was holding.

Director Nanda Kishore said any potential opposition does not catch him and the changes are not being made to prevent hurting religious sentiments.”Those who know the earlier films know that it is a satirical comedy. The film was remade in Telugu and did not face any problem. Moreover, a lot will be changed in the film, and it is because both the earlier films were hits and we need to show a lot more new things. The gist will remain,” he said.

South actress Priyamani has been reported of being roped into Upendra’s super hit Kannada film ‘Kalpana’ sequel Kalpana-2.

Priyamani, who is lying low on films past some time, is filled with excitement after this movie was offered.

Kalpana-2 will once again star Kannada Super Star Upendra in the lead role. Kalpana-2 will be a Tamil remake of Kanchana-2. Raghava Lawrence directed Kanchana-2 in Tamil.

Kanchana-2 was later dubbed in Telugu and was released as ‘Ganga.’

The first part that was directed by Anirudh Bolt was released in 2012. This film saw Lakshmi Rai in the female lead.

Kalpana-2 will be directed by Yograj Bhat and is produced by Rajesh. Earlier heroines like Radhika Pandit, Avantika Shetty, were considered for the lead role, but the director and producer finally chose Priyamani.

Getting this offer was lucky and necessary for Priyamni’s career, because in Kalpana-2 the female lead has more crucial role than the first part. The entire plot revolves around the heroine in this film.

Priyamani is hoping that this remake will bring back her lost charm and boost her acting career.
